1. It seems to happen every election ...
every election it seems like New Mexico is razor thin and a bunch of precincts still haven't reported the next day.

2. they start counting in 10 minutes
and it'll probably rest on the provisional ballots. Either way, with a margin that close, they'll be splitting delegates 50/50, I think.

3. They had bad weather in the northern part of the state and they ran out of ballots in some precinct
But it should not delay the results

4. Way too close
With Democratic primary too close to call, it’s the last of the Super Tuesday states still holding out.

Albuquerque Journal: Fewer than 120 votes separated Clinton and Obama early Wednesday. “The race will be decided by thousands of provisional ballots being tallied beginning today.” The Page, 6:22 AM

5. Too close to call...
NM and MO might both end up being recounted. They're both razor-thin margins.

9. I said on here a few days back he'd win by a hair's breath. Next he wins big is my guess.

6. NM is always slow to count, dunno why.
It's like they count those provisional ballots by hand, with old ladies or something.

10. Sounds like a good method to me
We need to get rid of Diebold across the nation, and enlist an army of LOL's (no, not Lots of Laughs, but Lil Old Ladies) to hand count the votes and hand out free lemonade.

19. Overwhelming turnout by inexperienced voters.
Resulting in 16,000 provisional ballots cast.

It will take a while to count them.

22. Both Obama and Hillary are bringing in new voters, so your point
is a very important one.

Inexperienced voters. Somehow we have to welcome and support them.

20. there's always someone trying to be the last box reporting
I never trust places that chronically have problems getting the votes counted. New Mexico has a small population, and they have chronic problems in national elections getting the job done. They could sub the job to Canadians, and they'd have it all counted in three hours. By hand.
