LIVE: From the Kansas Caucus in Lawrence. (Boyda - Moore)
Hey I'm at the Caucus Kansas.

Ask me anytime!

Big crowd! Sign up time extended to 7:30. Other sites in Lawrence are jammed. Lot of excitement in the air.

1. I'm happy to hear about the extension.
I posted about a traffic jam getting to one in Overland Park.

Traffic jam to get to a Kansas Caucus location - backed up in all directions.

My Mom called all excited because she can't believe the traffic trying to get to a caucus location in Overland Park, KS.

She did get a call from the Obama campaign telling her to be there at 6:30 - and she would have been but everyone is just slowly rolling.

I don't think they had any idea how huge the turnout was going to be tonight. It is at a church. It is miles away from her house which I thought was weird because I'm in Iowa and ours is at the neighborhood school. IMO They needed more caucus locations. They obviously didn't have any idea how huge turnout was going to be tonight.

She was so happy but the doors are supposed to close at 7:00 and everybody needs to get in there.

The Democratic Party is throwing a Party and everyone is showing up!

edit to add:

She parked on a side street and walked to the location. She said the line is huge and goes on and on outside the church. She said there is still tons traffic with people trying to get there. Anyone in line at 7:00 must be let in. I wonder if they can do anything else.

She said to the man behind her that she didn't think there were this many Democrats in Kansas. He responded that there weren't before Bush.

2. G'luck!
I'm leaving in 10 min for Colorado's caucus. I expect a jam-packed caucus tonight despite the snow.
