Obama readies Ohio machine
Posted by Mark Naymik February 05, 2008 16:46PM

Barack Obama is moving into Ohio this week in anticipation of a heated primary battle here. The campaign is sending Paul Tewes to serve as the Ohio campaign director. Tewes comes with plenty of street credibility. He led the campaign's caucus campaign in Iowa. The field staff from all over the country is also headed to Ohio by week's end.

3. I'm surprised Ohio didn't move its primary up to today
Of all our 50 states this one might have the most at stake regrading jobs and the economy. Everything could be decided tonight rendering Ohio's voice moot.

4. Ohio has a chance to be king or queenmaker now
If it voted today it would be lost in the shuffle along with Illinois, New York, New Jersey, Georgia, and Massachusetts. California is the only big state getting special attention.

7. Even if there is there will be no presumptive nominee
Ohio and Texas will get a big say. We may have a front runner after tonight but no presumptive nominee. The rethugs might.

9. I just signed up to work my first event-a visibility event for Obama!
I'm not so hot on phone banking-it pissed off a lot of folks in OH in 2004, but I think it's great to talk to folks one on one!

10. YAY !! My son is in Cinci and ready to go to work for Obama ! If he has a rally up there, I'm
going to drive up so I can take my son and his family :-) Our first political outing together. I sent him the NH speech and the Yes We Can video.. he's an activist now and not just an enthusiastic young voter !
