An observation from SF Bay Area, California (Obama partisans will like this)
Frankly, for myself i am not enthusiastic about either Hillary or Obama, but i thought folks will be interested in my UNscientific but very real observations the last few days.

This farmers market i frequent in Oakland has for the past several weeks had volunteers from several of the campaigns the last few weeks. Except last Sunday, when only the Obama people showed up. No Hillary at all.

House signs. From the affluent Oakland hills to the much more modest West Berkeley. Obama signs all the way. Of the relatively few that had signs, i don't think i saw one Hillary house sign. (now, to be truthful, not long ago there was a mayoral election in berkeley, and if you were polling the housesigns alone, you would have gotten the actual outcome backwards... but i'm just reporting what i saw... but this was not like 7 obama house signs to 3 for hillary... it was 10 for obama and 00 for hillary)

Volunteers on the Street. Obama volunteers with signs from the overpasses, on the corners. Hillary volunteers? None that i saw.

Again, that is not a scientific poll... but i just would be surprised if Obama does not do very well here in the Bay Area (oh, and the Bay Area ain't necessarily the same as all of California either...)

I can give a better prediction in about 16 hours, sit tight!

2. i'm not an obama supporter -- i am in the east bay -- and you are right.
by visible signs i would say obama enjoys considerable heavy weight support here.

oh well.

4. Dellums has, or at least had, much influence with white progressives
but i think besides the 8 regressive years of Bill, that vote for the Iraq Crime doomed hillary here.
And with the African American community, there is just is no contest. I think if Hillary were progressive, she might have had a chance.
