2. This is absurd
As of today, there are only two candidates on the ballot: George Bush and John Kerry.

The Deaniacs and the Clarkies and Kucinich people need to face reality.

3. Obviously you have difficulty reading. There are five candidates on
the Pennsylvania ballot, not two. This poll asks which DU'ers would vote for.

It's a valid question. I'm sorry it makes you feel uncomfortable.

7. Then why isn't he the nominee yet??
"Deal with it" sounds a lot like "Get over it"

John??? Is that you???

:dunce:

12. you are mistaken
the poll asks for preference, not who they would vote for. for example, i prefer edwards but will vote for DK in the primary and support kerry in the general.

13. You're technically correct. You'r point? It makes no difference to my post
Whether the thread asks for a vote or a preference, there are still five candidates on the Pennsylvania ballot. Kerry is NOT yet the nominee.

4. Oh, jsw_81, why are you HERE? This is a poll.
Surely there is a "quit , Kucinich" thread somewhere you could be spamming.

9. Why don't you face reality?
Your candidate is a weak pathetic waffler who was picked by the DLC specifically because he CAN'T beat Bush Jr.

That's reality. Your corporatist heroes sold you out.

Big Time, as Uncle Dick would say.

10. It's still important to vote for the candidate you believe in...
...so that your candidate and his delegates can have influence over the platform at the convention and so that Democratic leadership does not get the message that they can continue to marginalize progressive issues.

11. Yeah, and we are really going to listen
to you...everyone must obey...jsw_81. He says to stop being absurd, and to just blindly love his candidate because it is absurd if you do not. Look, we can support who we want. I will support Kerry in the fall, but he has done nothing to convince anyone of us to back him. I tried to contact the Kerry meetups in my area to see if I could assist, and they told me that me that I could donate but that they didn't need my help. Yeah, many Kerry supporters expect us to line up, but they don't respect any of our views or thoughts...they just want our vote and our money. Sorry to all the good Kerry supporters on here that have been open-minded, but I have had bad experiences with many in your camp even when I was trying to help...not trying to use the broad brush stroke here. I will work to get George Bush out of office, but that doesn't mean that I will enthusiastically support John Kerry.

14. Kucinich is still my favorite
Edited on Thu Mar-04-04 11:31 AM by mvd
He seems to be the voice of reason on the war - that you can't fight a war on terror like other wars. Just that and the health care issue make me like him the most. I realize that Kucinich as nominee would be a risk, as you don't know if people can be educated that quickly. So I completely understand the choice of Kerry and support him fully.
