2. yes, so is his age. Plus he's very boring
Graham is too much like Lieberman was in 04, we need somebody exciting like Edwards!

doesn't graham even record bathroom visits in his journals?

4. No. That's a rumor.
But he does record many things, and is boring. On the other hand, he's ranking member of the Senate Intelligence Committee and is from Florida.

8. I agree totally
I have always felt Graham is boring. We need someone with a big voice like Kerry's.

9. Too old, too sick, too boring. Choosing him would show a death wish
on Kerry's part. Though I don't care for Kerry, I do think he's a fighter, & have trouble believing he would burden himself with such a non-charismatic dud.

6. God, I hope not.
So it's quirky. Big deal. he's such a good man, it would be extremely petty to hold it against him.

14. I may be odd man out here but
in my mind it would be a plus. With his notes he can probably tell you what someone else said two years ago by just looking at his notes. And yes, being on the Intelligence committee is a big factor. He knows a lot more than he is telling because of the secrecy involved in being on his committee. Yes, he is boring and sometimes his explanations leave one wondering, but he would be a good VP. I hope Kerry goes with either Clark or Edwards. They both have charisma and Edwards could debate Cheney under the table. And Clark is so handsome!

19. There's really nothing wrong
with being a diarist. It's actually a time-honored tradition. Graham is a good, honest man who has had a long and honorable career in public service. He is very intelligent and courageous and decent. Remember, Graham voted against the war in Iraq. Graham spoke out most forcefully about Bush and 9/11 and the commission report. Bob Graham's got balls. It's a shame to see him disrespected.

22. Thank you, WesDem!
Well said. Bob Graham would be a good choice. There may be other better choices. I would hope that we can discuss this in terms of other people's strengths, not attack a decent man who opposes bush, and is a position to communicate with the "main stream" that are, for whatever reasons, unable to understand the exact same message from a Dean or Dennis K. We benefit from unity, and at this point, everyone who is strongly opposed to bush is on the right side!
