Last July, I mentioned that McCain was not out of the race
He appeared to be completely on the ropes last July and it was evident to some that he would drop out.

I knew that (and hopefully everyone else does) politics is like infinity in just a month's time. Here's my comment back then:

I'm just pointing this out because people seem to be panicking about General Election polls months away with a McCain matchup. I'll predict here that by next fall, McCain will have about as much appeal as Bob Dole did in 1996...which wasn't much...

1. McCain only looked good compared to the other pathetic GOPers--
once people seriously examine him against our nominee, I'm pretty confident that we'll end up winning. People want change--he's the opposite of change.

2. Repugs always tend to go with the heir apparent even if they are old news
The same with McCain. Actually, I'm not even sure he's going to be the nominee. Romney might still pull it off.
