We have a nominee: I was in Washington all day yesterday and did not vote in the primary. This is just as well because I genuinely could not make up my mind. I know Kerry is better prepared to be president than Edwards and his overall views are closer to my own as well. But his weaknesses as a candidate frighten me. In any remotely sensible country, the issue of his frosty demeanor would be irrelevant, and his “Massachusetts librul” label would barely qualify him as a centrist. Indeed, few if any “centrists” in any European nation made the fatal mistake Kerry did in trusting George Bush to go to war. Overall, I think Kerry will make a stronger candidate than Edwards would have in November. Though far better prepared than Bush was four years ago, the latter just does not appear ready to be president yet, however terrific a candidate he may have been. But I think the country would have been well-served by having the debate continue. It kept a lot of silliness out of the news and put some genuine issues into it for a change, as obnoxious as so much of that coverage was. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3449870/MSwhoreGOP used to have Eric burried off the front page. I went on vacation and when I came back Eric is on the front page. I have no other reason to believe it's because of people like the DUers sending (polite or don't send them) letters to the MSwhoreGOP editors. Now that Eric is on the front please find time to send some more good words to MSGOP management and Eric too! Eric will answer you. I hope I didn't let the cat out of the bag? He's answered nearly every form I've sent to him. (Never had one posted on his log but that's not what I'm after.) Eric has more morals, patriotism, and honesty than the entire AWOL Adm. put together. We've got to do our job to lift these knowledgable people into the LimeLight! Something besides writing to MSwhoreGOP, you can pick a few from THEwhoreLIST and ask them why they don't write stories like Eric?
