John Edwards: The one truly classy candidate
John Edwards spoke from his heart about an issue that few politicians give the time of day--poverty. He saw the problem and he had a plan to help resolve it. He was not the candidate of the corporate interests by any means. He came in second in Iowa and the media decided to ignore that and concentrate on the more acrimonious contest between HRC and Obama. John Edwards gave it his all. When the two "major" candidates acted like children during the CNN debate it was Edwards who stuck to what was important--the issues he cares deeply about. We got hope following that debate that he would pull an upset in SC, but while he did gain ground it wasn't enough--at least for the media and monied interests to care about. He ran a strong and honorable campaign and I wish him all the best in the world and hope that whoever our eventual nominee is will keep in mind John Edwards' passion in wanting to combat poverty and the appeal he did show to many democrats when it comes time to select a running mate or an attorney general in the next democratic adminitration.

p.s.
We couldn't have had a finer first lady than Elizabeth.
