To Obama supporters
Edited on Tue Jan-29-08 11:55 PM by ruggerson
I can only speak for myself, but I like and enjoy most of you.

Many of you are passionate and engaged and you articulate your support for your guy very well.

There are a few extreme clowns amongst you, but then there are also a few extreme clowns amongst the Clinton and Edwards' supporters also. So, it's a wash.

I will vote for Obama in the fall, should he be the nominee, I've never changed my mind about that and I won't in the future.

Sure, I have major differences and difficulties with some of the things he's done, and I hope he makes wiser moves in the future. And sure, I strongly believe Clinton would make a better President right now, which is why I support her.

But, I truly never lose sight of the fact that we're all on the same team.

I know how much pride you take from your candidate and I think that's great. There is a lot to be proud of: he's very inspirational.

What we need to do, once this part of the process is all over, is ensure we have a President Clinton or a President Obama taking the oath of office next January 20.

That should be the bottom line for every single one of us.

33. Nice thread but..
just like the msm John Edwards was left out of this. I will whole heartedly support JRE in the primary and if O or H wins the primary, then I will half-heartedly support them. Gotta be honest here. I wish to thank all of the posters that don't engage in name calling when it comes to the other candidates. This defeats our purpose. We are dems, damnit. Be nice to each other.

36. I know. And more often than not the Edwards supporters are becoming referees
which is appreciated by me, but must be annoying for y'all.

30. Yeah I got a problem with that
The OP tries to make this even handed plea, like they are some sort of election Gandhi, and then drops that they are a Clintonite.
I'm very....unimpressed.

and want strict uniformity.

everyone who thinks like you is ok -- and everyone who doesn't isn't.

well that's fucked -- or is that being to obvious for you.?

that op is a known liberal/progressive democrat around here -- you -- on the other hand -- not so much.

12. ensure we have a President Clinton or a President Obama
That is the goal. But there are some who are so vigorous about their candidate I fear they're starting to damage whoever our eventual nominee is. Let's stop doing the Republicans work for them. McCain would be an extremely dangerous adversary - he would steal a huge chunk of Obama's independent voters and offer a very real challenge to Hillary's experience/tough stance on national security credentials.

We cannot afford another 2000 Ralph Nader tissy fit to throw the election to the Republicans. I like John McCain just fine, but I like Hillary and Obama better. Al Gore deserved to be president in 2000, but some felt the need to sit out or vote 3rd party just to make a point (Gore wasn't liberal enough.) This was insane - and we can not afford to do it for another 4 years.

If Obama is the nominee, I will work my a$$ off.

If Clinton is the nominee, I will work my a$$ off (probably not as hard, because Hillary has more firepower in her artillery with Bill, IMO).

Clinton or Obama?

...once this part of the process is all over, is ensure we have a President Clinton or a President Obama taking the oath of office next January 20.

Really?

Let's read that again:

...once this part of the process is all over, is ensure we have a President Clinton or a President Obama taking the oath of office next January 20.

Is that my choice?

The main stream media suggests that's the case.

And now so are you.

Hmmmmmm.

The MSM spin is so obvious it's like playing a puzzle on one of the place mats they put out for the kids at Waffle House or IHoP - here are two pictures A & B, they look alike, but things are missing in B, which ones kids?

Want to play?

Only in this case picture A is a reality, the reality, where class warfare is in full swing, our government spies on us and tortures captives, where ought have a full debate that addresses those issues, and picture B is a reality, merely one of many realities offered, that you and the mainstream media present where there's a fantastic opportunity to make strides in either race OR gender issues.

One or the other - but NOT THAT ONE!

When the enemy (the corporate owned media) offers me a choice and tries to hide the third valid choice under the counter - which do you think we should pick?

BTW: After closely reading your post I am fairly certain at least one "Clown" has de-cloaked.

I think your post does it's little bit to ensure what you suggest:

...ensure we have a President Clinton or a President Obama...

Too bad that's an result the corporate republicans who caused the current mess, while not loving that outcome, are quite comfortable with.
