Obama's 'supporters' could be his undoing ...
Edited on Tue Jan-29-08 10:55 PM by sjdnb
if they are not careful. Some of the crap being posted here, and elsewhere, by purported Obama supporters, especially since the SC primary is not only unfounded and unwarranted, it is embarrassingly immature.

Chill out!

Edit: It's not just here -- it's all over the web, on comment pages at all of the political sites I visit -- and, that's a lot. Some are beginning to cause all to be perceived as 'cult like/worshippers'. I've seen that response posted about some BO supporters more than once.

1. I know Obama isn't responsible for what his DU supporters say...but they really do turn you off from
him, totally.

2. It's just DU. A troll a minute.
By that logic, Hillary's "supporters" will also be her undoing, as will Edwards' "supporters." Who's left, Mercer?

10. I have never seen an Edwards supporter call Hillary a "fucking bitch"
as I just witnessed a prolific Obama supporter call her.

3. Agree
My husband, his best friend, and many of my friends are voting Obama.

I am undecided, but some of the posts on this board really turn me off. More come from Obama supporters than from the supporters of the other two candidates. I'm thinking it may be because some of Obama's supporters are so young that they haven't been through the ups and downs of other campaigns.

5. I've read the "B" word here many times tonight (and I don't mean that RW creation Billary).
Some Obamaniacs (there's no better word for them) are completely unhinged over the idea that Hillary dares have a party and thank those who voted for her! They argue that she's trying to fool the people when the fact is that the media covering the rally have repeatedly stated that no delegates will be rewarded.

Hey, I can say the same thing about Clinton supporters.
Not all are bad, just the vocal minority.

VERY vocal.

8. You can say it, but I am an Edwards supporter and I don't see that
.... not at all. The Obama supporters remind me of freepers. No logic, no reason, and just nasty people. They really have convinced me not to even vote for a presidential candidate in the GE if he is the nominee. First time in 29 yrs, but I just can't see supporting someone whose supporters are just delusional, rude, and such poor sports. The attacks on Hillary are just way over the top, and even when she wins they are as far from gracious as you can get. The pattern is too clear not to think their is a problem with their candidate. It's not just on DU I see it either. I see the same thing in real life. His supporters are just mad dogs in general.

yes, posters on DU are going to be Obama's undoing. Put down the pipe or the bottle or whatever it is- you're mistaking DU for the real world. That's just insane.

15. Accusing people of being drunk or stoned, because they
suggest some may be stepping over the line, in their fervor to support Obama, just reinforces my point.

7. I can tell you I will not vote for him in the GE if he does get the nod
And it will be the first time in 29 yrs of voting I have declined to support the nominee. Anyone who's supporters are that delusional, nasty, and can give no reason for their support for a guy with so little experience convinces me that he is as immature, arrogant, and full of crap as he appears to be on his face. They have literally confirmed every concern I had about him. He will not get my vote under any circumstances. I will simply sit it out.

21. What the fuck? There's a core of asshole Clinton supporters who spam this forum
constantly on a daily basis.

It's too bad it's against DU policy for me to post them.

You have a serious blindspot if you haven't noticed.

"HRC folks, not so much"?

One of the biggest assholes mistakenly exposed the fact he organized some of the Hillary supporter crap-fest going on here. Maybe he thought noone would notice his post.

18. hey the same crap that is posted here is nothing more then a
reflection of obama and his entire campaign.....I tried and tried to tell folks tht obama played teh race card early on and then he played it again and now he is playing it often....only thing is it worked for him in south carolina but ther is no other state obama can play that race crap again.....

Quotes

"Dr King’s dream began to be realised when LBJ passed the
Civil Rights Act of 1964. It took a president to get it done."
-- Hillary Clinton, condemned by the whore media for listing the facts,

What's racial about stating the facts?

"Hillary Clinton must not be permitted to ...play the race card. It is one of
the low points of presidential politics in modern times.
It is genuinely shocking. Honest commentators should make a big
and continuing deal about it."
--Tony Blankley, fanning those race flames with both hands,

Why can't everyone see they'll do anything to make Obama our nominee? Have you EVER seen a Republican attack Obama?

20. I don't base my opinion of any candidate by the
more "vocal" "supporters" here on DU. A few "supporters" of various candidates are just trolls.
