Clinton, and even in South Carolina they were never going to swing for anyone else because Bill was our first Black president and yada yada yada?

Am I the only one here who remembers this?

7. Hmmmm
I guess it was Obama who called Clinton's Iraq war stance (shown be to a lie) a "fairy tale"?

I guess it was Obama who called Clinton's promises "false hopes".

Can you explain what he did to swiftboat.

10. Explain to us, please how either of those two word quotes you've spun are "racist".

9. Yup.
1. Let surrogates turn normal political comments into race-baiting and don't make a public comment until it's done damage.
+
2. Let "cured" Mc Clurkin speak at the SC concerts and throw GLBT under the bus for the fundie vote.
=
3. Obama wins SC vote.

3. Not only that... but also
Obama isn't BLACK enough.

African Americans don't trust Obama because he doesn't address THEIR issues.

Obama is not descended from slaves, so he can't understand the black experience in America. Plus, he wasn't raised here either.

(there was more along these lines... and it all made me want to :puke: )

4. It shows you that black people aren't stupid and can't be led around like sheep
Many black people are tee-totally pissed at Bill Clinton right now. I don't think it will last forever and he can dig his way out of it. To many black folk, the Clintons are like family. Sometimes they irritate the hell out of you, but we love them all the same.

While I strongly believe that much of the "racial divide" that we heard about in South Carolina was media driven, I also feel that Bill Clinton put himself in the position of being blamed by some of the less-than-savvy comments he made and the way he carried himself when he should have known better.

But I don't think all is lost. There's a lot of goodwill there and he and Hillary can certainly come out of this ok - but they're going to have to take some affirmative steps to repair the damage.

I'm pulling for them to do just that - it would be a damned shame if the important and longstanding relationship between Bill and Hillary Clinton and the black community was irreparably harmed by a few weeks of foolishness.

11. According to you Black folks were stupid until Obama enlightened them?
To me it seems Obama might be the Judas Goat.

5. That was before they needed to define Barrack as the Black guy...
As soon as Barrack's message of hope started to take hold, they needed to knock him down among white folk. How? Simple - define him as the black candidate. They freely gave away the black vote in a gamble that Barrack's white totals would drop like a rock. This has worked so far - we'll see how well it works on February 5th.

Divided, Hillary stands. United she falls...

13. Well all it takes is some mediawhores to buy into what the
obama camp were dishing them and they ate it up and day after day pounded both clintons and the mediawhores knowing full well it was the obama camp that played the race card but that made no difference. The mediawhores were going to get thier pound of flesh from both clintons and make damn sure obama won south carolina.....it worked and worked good.....but south carolina is the last state with such a concentrated body of voters, and this will not work in other states.....

So go ahead obama folks and take this win but come tuesday night you will again have that bitter taste in your mouths as hrc will win florida and then that taste will become so bitter the night 2/5 you will puke from it.

14. Yes you remember that right.
Hillary was counting on two main constituencies as her keys to the nomination, women and blacks.

She thought that she had a lock on both. Somewhere on her way to the nomination one fell away.
Hence her strategy to marginalize Obama as black so that she can draw more white voters in the Super Tuesday states.
