3rd place in his home state as a native sun is not a good result. That can't be spinned. He doesn't have the money or organization to compete on Super Tuesday. It's hard to see where he can win after this.

These are the facts that can't be spinned.

So what's his end game? Does he just want to get delegates as a negotiation tool to get another job? Does he just want a voice in the debates to influence Obama and Hillary on setting the agenda?

And most importantly who does he help or hurt most by staying in since apparently he's in it till the convention?

1. I'm hoping for Attorney General.
And, since I don't necessarily trust you Herman, I won't say under which Democratic president.

13. Why would he waste his talents in that rigid job? His passion is the POOR.
He is certainly more qualified than Alberto to be AG, but he's a trial lawyer. He's not a prosecutor. It is a POOR fit.

I think a cabinet level position, an "at large" job--POVERTY CZAR, perhaps (if we can have a fucking drug czar, why not?) would be more up his alley and permit him to realize some of his vision.

16. Ummm. Because that's another (maybe easier) way to make a point!
When you take on certain cases and get the results you want...there you go--change is possible!

17. I don't think that job would feed his soul. YMMV. nt

3. I think he'll drop out either tomorrow
or right after Feb. 5th.

Despite everybody's hopes here, he won't stay in 'til the convention.

Agree--he won't. This is the end of the road for him, even if he doesn't
drop out until after Feb. 5th.

12. Just my opinion. I think John's a realist. If he can't win in Iowa, where
he practically lived for four years, and in Nevada, which is a big union state, and in South Carolina, his home turf, where can he win? I'm sure he's coming to that conclusion. He may not get out, but I'd say it's 70-30 odds that he will.

4. I think JE has made it clear that he will be in the race
until the convention. He knows he will have a good deal of power to wield there.. I think it is smart that he continues his campaign, even if he knows he can't win, because, in the long run, he will be able to addd his delegates to the candidate of his choice.

5. Okay, there are several points to be said about this...
First, there are many states left to go.
Second, his message is the only real message of the 3 because it tells the truth about what this country is now like. That message has to continue being spread by John Edwards, since neither of the other two have intentions to do the same.
Third, John Edwards' message is the only thing keeping this primary on point. It's the only thing keeping the ugly fact that the economy is now sh*t, and that everyone from the middle class on down is suffering. If not for John Edwards, the other two would be discussing a lot of bs.

I'm very grateful to the man. I will continue to donate money to him.

8. Yup, he will at least keep them on message
He needs to talk more about corp. control. Make the other two declare how they feel about corp. favors, tax breaks, deregulation, such as those issues. Haven't given up just yet.

6. I want him to stay in since
his message is being picked up by both Obama and Clinton. He has consistently talked about the economy etc. and they have been moving in his direction on it. Even if he doesn't win he is making them pay attention to the poorer 2/3rds of the country.

BTW I am still undecided (on purpose) since I don't even get a chance to vote until Feb. 12.

7. His best bet is to give his goodwill to Obama.
Which is Obama's best bet as well.

They need to unite to ensure we get the change that we need in the White House.

14. His best bet is to hold his fire and give his goodwill to the eventual winner.
Whoever that might be.

11. Do nominees name who they'll have in their admin? I'm thinking I'd REALLY
like to see JE as AG. IF that was decided between them, when would that be announced?
