On Pookie and Ray-Ray
Personally, I think Obama did everyone a service by appealing to the families of Pookie and Ray-Ray because these two have never voted before. Every vote counts and regardless of which way they vote, Mr Obama has called out everyone to perform there civic right and duty.

3. "Pookie" means "sweetie," "honey," "sugarpop," etc. VICTOR, VICTORIA movie...
the Leslie Warren character calls James Garner "Pookie." It is a loving nickname, a term of endearment.

I call my cute little doggie "Pookie."

I can't believe all the people on DU who are so ignorant that they have never heard that affectionate term before, or who have never seen the movie Victor, Victoria. Great movie, BTW. (Pookie loved it, too, but she thought it would have been better if it had had dogs in it.)
