How did I miss that one? I don't know if it was posted before, but the article's a riot too.

1. You made my day! Thanks for this!

"There he is riding in a fire truck in a Miami parade, trailed by angry firefighters who blame him for multiple failures when New York was attacked. There he is in the Panhandle, the consummate Yankees fan trying to look down-home on the Redneck Riviera. And every night, his campaign phone bank reaches out to the diaspora of 1.5 million transplanted New Yorkers. Start spreading the news – quick!"

Based on dozens of conversations I’ve had with Republican voters, who’ve been casting real ballots here since January 14, when early voting started, it seems Giuliani is not familiar with the advice that wise coaches give their better players: Don’t believe your press clips."

2. If you want to keep giggling
click the link and read some pure unadulterated and brilliant snark. We're talking mean spirited with a capital M.

4. Love this paragraph, among others...
"Yet, the more they see of him here, the more his poll numbers tank. Even with ol’ Fred Thompson shuffling off the stage for a life of longer naps and witless homilies to more appreciative audiences, Rudy’s campaign is in a meltdown."

5. Great writing, huh?
"Yet Giuliani still wants to frighten people into voting for him. Maybe that’s why he hired the gothic-faced actor Jon Voight to stump for him in Florida. What, Christopher Walken wasn’t available?

6. It is very good...it seems weird now having worried so much about
Rudy at the very beginning of the race...he seemed like he was shoe-in for the Repuke nomination, and his appeal to Independents was scary.

I guess a day really is a lifetime in politics.

11. That's true...but it was a long time coming before the media started
really probing what he did and who he is...they bought into the savior of 9-11 shit for far too long.

12. A most excellent opinion piece - it hit all the notes!
Like a scrapbook of memories during Rudy's madcap campaign. From the Kerik connection to Biden's famous zinger, from the drag dress-ups to the Koch book and the Giuliani kids. I loved the image of the firetruck and chasing posse!

Did you read this observation among the comments following the piece?

"I don’t understand how Rudy can think his family life isn’t a major detraction. It is as if Clinton had thrown Hillary out of the White House, divorced her, and then married Monica and brought her home to the White House as First Lady. He would have been impeached just for being a dolt! However, Rudy does essentially the same thing and expects the country to embrace his mistress."
