Clinton is sure making it hard for Obama and Edwards supporters to enthusiastically back her if she
is the nominee, imo. First there is the race baiting by Clinton and her surrogates in SC. The pouncing on Obama regarding his statements on Ronald Reagan when she and her husband both have praised Reagan more extravagantly than Obama ever did. Now, what she is doing in Michigan and Florida when all the candidates prior agreed not to campaign in those states because of the DNC ruling.

The liklihood at this point is that she will be our nominee, but I think that she is going to leave a lot of bitterness in the mouths of her opponents supporters due to her campaign tactics.

Are you 12?

4. Nice
I'm telling you Hillary is going to need Obama more than he is going to need her. The African-American voters will remember how she brought race into this and there enthusiasm will be dampened. It could cost her the general election. I'm not the only person saying this. Ted Kennedy and other democrats have been privately warning Bill and Hillary that their tactics could backfire.

2. I won't be. Hillary and that NAFTA-signing Bill can twist in the wind.

3. So you plan to vote Republican or not at all?
I mean, why vote if you have such contempt for democratic process and your fellow Democrats? If majority rule isn't good enough for you, there are plenty of systems where a small minority dictates to everyone else. Are you saying you'd feel more comfortable with that? Well, go for it.

But then don't complain about what you get.

10. "why vote if you have such contempt for democratic process and your fellow Democrats? "
Would you have voted for GW Bush if he had ran as a Democrat?

There are many real, hard working Democrats who remember that Bill Clinton was no friend to the working guy, and cant see Hillary being any different.

Would you expect them to support the nominee even if they think their own party was wrong?

12. "contempt for democratic process" - the contempt is for the Clintons. I'll
be writing in someone if Hillary is the nominee. Hillary will NEVER carry the Commonwealth of VA. NEVER. So, the Democrats make my vote meaningless if they should foolish nominate someone who will not win. I'll be writing in either Edwards, Dean, Kucinich, or Nader, depending on my mood at the time.

5. I am absolutely with you
I want to be able to enthusiastically support our nominee, but I really think HRC's burning her bridges. I take it as an insult -- like she's taking us for granted, assuming we'll have nowhere else to go and will vote for her regardless just to avoid getting President RudyMcRomney. She talks about "wanting" to bring the country together at the same time her campaign slices and dices the electorate into whites and blacks and browns. And good luck getting any Repugs to cross over and vote for her ...

7. If she is the nominee
people will vote for her even though they are complaining now. At that point it will be a Democrat against a Republican. To not vote would be to help put another Republican in office. If people are so stupid that they will stay home rather than vote for her, they will be responsible for losing us the White House. I don't care who is the nominee, they will have the vote from me.

13. I'll break it to you straight
Clinton will win the nomination using whatever tactics it takes to do it.

Afterwards, evrybody crying right now will get over it and will support her.

If needed, the Clintons will go to Obama and other Black leaders and have them go out and make it all better.

Memories are short, by summer this will be mostly forgotten, what's left will be skillfully rewritten.

Short and sweet.

14. Obama's campaign has been so dirty, I can't vote for him if he is nominated.
Fine. Let's all agree that the other guy's candidate is an underhanded prevaricator and that our candidate is as free of sin as a boy whose baptismal robe is still wet.

Let's all agree that their candidate is ruining our party and that ours is the only one who can save it.

Let's all agree that their candidate can't possibly win in November and that we will blow the best chance we ever had to take back the government if we don't all support our candidate.

Let's agree to vilify each other's candidates, repeat opposition lies about them, dig up old 'scandals' and try to re-animate them, and generally attempt to ruin the reputation and effectiveness of these fellow Democrats forever.

Then, let's agree to pop popcorn and sit together on Election night and watch yet another goofball Republican win the White house and, with sizable support in the Congress (because the Democrats were fractionated), drive us deeper into the abyss.

16. The Clinton v. Obama Split in the Democratic Party IS REAL......
There are going to be huge splits in the Democratic Party if either of those two win.

IMHO it will take another Democratic Candidate like John Edwards to bring the Democratic Party together.
