Contrary to media spin, there are a lot of white people in SC supporting Obama, and Hispanics too!

in SC supporting Obama. I hate that race is even mentioned in this campaign, but I hate more the meme that Obama's support is only among people with more skin pigmentation than the pale faces.

Pale faces:
Clinton 37%
Edwards 34%
Obama 24%

Greater skin pigmentation:
Obama 73%
Clinton 18%
Edwards 6%

This statistic really raised my eyebrows.

Si Hablo Espanol:
Obama 53%
Clinton 17%
Edwards 9%

And finally, among humans in SC:

Obama 45%
Clinton 29%
Edwards 22%

Other polls have him at 10%, 11%, and 17%. In each one he is third among whites. In all but one he is above 70% with blacks. It is obvious race is playing a factor on Saturday. Obama's swiftboating of the Clintons on race worked wonders for him in South Carolina. However, as the polling suggests, he may pay a heavy price on Super Tuesday.
