and as one who has long been troubled by the vitriolic atmosphere that was nurtured in these types of flame wars... can I say... it is phenomenally encouraging to see all responding not only with humour (and minus the vitriol)... but with almost *gasp* fond reminiscence...

very encouraging... because we have a long haul.. not just a president elect, but congressmen (and women) to oust and replace with more competent democrts..., statehouses to win, etc... and we are all going to have to do this together.. not by simply voting while nose held... but by engaging locally.

Seeing the reparte on this thread gives me great hope that we can overcome the nasty divisions.. and work together to reclaim our country.
