Obama Responds To Hillary Claim That He's "Frustrated"

Obama Responds To Hillary Claim That He's "Frustrated"

By Greg Sargent - January 22, 2008

On a conference call with reporters, Obama just responded to the Hillary campaign's increasingly frequent claim that he's "frustrated" by his losses in New Hampshire and Nevada.

"It's very clear that Senator Clinton has been spending the last month attacking me in ways that are not accurate," Obama said. He then reiterated his criticism of Hillary for saying recently that the acrimonious phase of campaigns is the "fun part."

"I don't think it's the 'fun part' to fudge the truth," Obama said, adding: "If you get the kind of looseness with the facts that (the Clinton team has) displayed, that erodes people's trust in government...It makes them cynical."

Obama continued: "It's important for our campaign to not only make sure that the record is correct...but also that we are sending a message to voters that we're going to bring about a different kind of politics over the long term."

1. Loose with facts? Hey, Barak, tell us more about your bud Rezko.
And how you swung that great $300,000 under market value deal on your spiffy new home. In a seller's market, that's quite the feat. You oughta write a real estate book.

9. Once again - Obama projects his personal failings onto the Clintons.
He is not responsible for anything he has done and whines to the media (his protectors) when he gets nailed.
Then he calls one of his Daddies (today's daddy is Tom Daschle) to help him out of a jam.
He needs to grow up.

2. Frustrated?
Maybe he just needs a friggin' nap?! I try to avoid these discussions, but that's pretty condescending of Hillary.

Maybe it's just PMS...

3. Looks like the war
Has just started!

The thing that really ticks me off about this petty war of theirs, is it takes away from the "real" issues, that we should be talking about. The MSM doesn't report on anything but this fight, and that's hurting the country. We need a "real" leader, and this "war" between Obama and Hillary, is not what we need to be seeing everyday in the news!

Edwards is the adult here!

Hillary and her husband are working overtime to sling the crap and distort
every damn sentence Obama says.

He can't even say a HISTORICAL FACT, that "Ronald Reagan changed the trajectory of the country" without
Bill stepping up to the microphone and accusing Obama of idealizing the policies of Reagan.

This is so frickin ludicrous!

What's a candidate to do? Do you fight Hillary and Bill when they distort your words? Or do you not
answer and take the change that people will believe things about you that aren't true?

Who wouldn't be frustrated??????????

22. Well, when Hillary said a historical fact about MLK & LBJ she was called a racist.
Who fanned the flames of the "race card"? The media and behind the scenes the Obama campaign.

How soon we forget.......

4. "Frustrated" is the counter theme meme to "Desperate"
It's actually kind of amusing the way the political game gets played:

In this corner we have; "Desperate Hillary", and in the opposite corner; "Frustrated Barack".

6. Hucklebee talks about losing honorably rather than winning dishonorably and McCain

talks about being truthful with the American Public. The Clintons think it's business and usual and TRUST is not going to pay a big party in the 2008 election.

The Clintons are the best thing that ever happened to the Republican Party. Yeah, Bill Clinton won 2 elections but he decimated the Democratic Party in the process. Hillary won't get elected, but the Democrats will still be decimated and they will be left wondering how this could have happened after 8 years of Bush.

23. Exactly...
If he gets the nomination he will have to go into more detail. The media will then start asking more questions that he hasn't given the answers
