I was just wondering. I am a Kucinich supporter and Edwards is my #2. But if he doesn't get the nomination, I am definitely leaning toward Obama rather than Hillary.

So how do other Edwards supporters lean? Hillary or Obama?

But that in no way absolves her of Kyl-Lieberman, her anti-gay minister endorsements, her lack of a minimum wage raise in her economic plan, her too-slow Iraq withdrawal, her failure to apologize as edwards has, her campaign's snotty and condescending manner towards activists in the beginning of her campaign, her gawd-awful warmongering, lying, union-busting, self-loathing advisors, her corporate lobbyist lovefest... you get the idea.

2. Definitely not leaning toward Hilary, if I had to pick someone else.
Frankly, neither Hilary or Obama inspires me very much where their policies are concerned.

Just sayin'.

42. what you said
I feel the same way. Hillary only gets my support in the form of a vote in the Gen Election, IF she is the nominee...which I fervently hope does not come to pass.

My whole adult life I have had to pick the lesser of two evils in the presidential elections. I'm SICK of it. But I'll do what needs to be done and vote anyway. *sigh*

I wasn't born yesterday. I KNOW all of our candidates are better than ANY of theirs. I may be less enthusiastic about some versus others, but the eventual Dem nominee will make an excellent president.

12. I'm somewhat ambivalent
My first choice is John, but I think I would go for Hillary second. I still see, IMHO, that Obama lacks the experience in some areas to bother me, but regardless of my own personal choice, I'm happy to see any of them in the white house so I can go back to capitalizing (pun intended) those words. ;)

23. Yeah, the idea at the caucus is to get delegates if you can, but if you can't
stay un-Committed and solicit other un-Committeds in order to drive the other two toward Edwards's positions, which will be worked out at a brokered convention.

16. I can't stand HRC...
And tonight was just another example, (debate) The looks she was giving him during the first part of the debate were more than scathing. If she's going to sling mud, she needs to know when you pick it up you get muddy too.

It got so bad she was booed at one point.

I was totally turned off both of them tonight, however if I had to pick it would be Obama.

With Hillary, I'll hold my nose, and vote for her.

if he wants the fundamentalist anti-gay vote, then he's going to lose the rest of us. I wouldn't support a candidate with anti-Black or anti-Jewish extremist backers, why would anyone with a conscience refrain from aggressively criticizing candidates who manipulate the support of anti-gay extremists?

I'm with John to the bitter end. However, I prefer Hillary over Obama. I have a lot of issues w/Hills, but she's as tough as old boots and smarter than Bill. Obama, leaves me cold I'm afraid. Husband feels the same way - so i guess that's two.

Plus he seems too cozy with the Right for my tastes.

Also I'm somewhat swayed by the anger the GLBT community has toward him. I have many friends and co-workers who are gay/lesbian and so it moves me a bit.

44. I won't vote for Obama. I would probably vote for Clinton--although I don't want to.
Clinton is not only the 'devil we know', she's not the candidate of 'change'. Although you never know what she's going to do, you kind of always know it's going to be in the middle-- or back and forth.

Obama could very well shoot straight to the right. I think he's more likely to support faith-based funding (which has supported murderous anti-gay hate groups overseas). I think he's as likely to lean to the right on American expansionism and more likely to lean to the right on economic issues. I think his ideas of "uniting" with the right wing are absolutely batshit crazy. Couple this with rhetoric of "change" and "new ideas" and we'll have a generation of people who become hopelessly confused about what progressive ideas actually ARE.

I think Barack Obama will subvert the possibility of change in America. We don't need more confusing and muddied ideas.

With Clinton, we get at least get a weak clump of grass and rocks in the gigantic hole in the dam. With Obama, we get inspiring speeches about the importance of rubber boots.
