2. Yes, and so can Clinton and Obama.
They all have a chance.

The vast majority of delegates are unassigned.

3. Absolutely.
3 sparsely populated states does not make a nomination. As Karen Carpenter used to say, "We've only just begun."

4. Anyone can still win, including Dennis (who would be my first choice)
The problem for John & Dennis is counteracting the Whore Media spin that only 2 candidates exist in this race. Right now on the AP radio news break, it's Hillary/Obama this, Hillary/Obama that. And they immediately turn around and mention at least 5 of the Repuke candidates. Sadly, this is the news service that airs on AAR and Nova M, so this disinformation IS going out to a Democratic audience. And some of the AAR shows probably aren't much better in their own coverage. Thom Hartmann being an obvious exception. And Mike Malloy, while not endorsing anyone, has said that Edwards is most likely to have his support.

5. no. he can't.
not in the real world. and the argument that there only three states have voted, doesn't wash. Edwards entire campaign was built around winning Iowa. It was essentially over for him when he lost it. Sorry if that offends, but that's the politial reality.

6. Here is some reality for you
Obama is going to have to start being a "real" candidate, not just somone giving lip service. He is going to get hit hard on the Rezko thing, and that's a fact, like it or not. When the shit hits the fan, do you really think he will have a chance? Why doesn't he come out and have a press conference on this instead of denying everything? The facts are there, he can't keep lying and saying he "hardly" knew the guy!

Now you can continue to back him, that's your choice, and you can continue to say this won't hurt him, that's also your choice, but if you want to talk about "reality" start accepting it yourself!

10. I actually expect Clinton to win
I'm not deceiving myself like you are about St. John. Obama has flaws, but of course it's simply your bullshit or ignorance that he hasn't presented a substantive platform. As for Rezko, as of now, there's no there there. If and when there is something substantive, I'll reassess my support for him. It's very unlikey, from what we know now that he'll land hard. He had to shed $40,000 dollars of donations. Clinton had to shed $850,000 from Hsu which truly was serious, and she hasn't been hurt by it.

You are the one living in a fantasy if you think that JE has a chance at the nomination. Hell, he doesn't eveh have a chance at being a kingmaker. He's done. Through. Over. And you EdWARdians can hang on til kingdom come but it won't change a thing. Over is over.

Edited on Sun Jan-20-08 05:44 PM by AP

14. gee, maybe because the poster I responded too
was in attack mode. my orignial post in this thread was simply a response. I didn't start a thread about JE. I didn't dis him. I simply stated my opinion about where his campaign stands now.

13. He will be there when CONVENTION TIME COMES
It will take that long for the media to bring out all the things on Obama, or at least we hope they get it all out by then...We don't want the Republicans to beat us up, with Edwards it has all been outed, even the size of his home and the cost of a hair cut.
