The Goliath Clinton Machine vs. Obama as David. He wasn't even supposed to come close!
The Clinton machine has been in full force since prior to 1992. Bill Clinton served as President for 2 terms. They represent the entrenched Washington Democratic establishment, and Hillary, riding on the coat tails of her husband's experience took the bull by the horn and stayed ahead in all polls for an entire year.

In comes Barack Obama. a Skinny politician with a powerful voice and a funny name. Only the 3rd Black Senator to be elected to the Senate since the Reconstruction. A newcomer to Washington D.C., he had the machinery of exactly 1.

Obama came in 1st to Clinton's 3rd in Iowa. I don't think that the Clinton Machine ever saw it coming. That victory woke up the sleeping inevitable Goliath, and woke it up strong.

Obama Came in a close 2nd in NH, a state that Hillary had been favored to win since last year, up until after Iowa.

Obama then went into Clinton Territory (where the Nevada everything other than one shaky Union were on the side of the Clintons) and was able to give Hillary a very competitive race.

Bottomline is Barack Obama is running an Awesome campaign!
whatever it is about Obama's message, it is working.

I'm giving that man BIG PROPS!

1. More delegates and still claiming underdog.
Having it both ways every damn day.

And we know what Obama's message is. Vote for me or I'll have somebody call you a racist.

10. WTF?
'vote for me or I'll have somebody call you a racist?'

NO, not even close to being true. HRC surrogates -- I hate to say it, but it's true (et tu, Charley Rangel, John Lewis?) -- have been the attack dogs.

You've totally twisted this one up.

Politics is one ugly m-f'n game, and nothing has exposed that as much as the 'race issue' in this campaign.

14. It's as good as Clinton's message
"Vote for me or you'll be called a sexist"

(and no, I don't think Clinton has been playing that game, nor has Obama been relying on his race. Some of their supporters, on the other hand.....)

3. "Clinton machine" is a RW talking point, BTW
When will Obama supporters start touting Obama instead of relying on attacks? Is attacking and squashing other candidates down supposed to make Obama seem taller? Looks like the GOP has taught Obama's supporters well.

6. Barack is kicking ass!
He is moving mountains. He is taking on 2 political giants at once as well as full on entrenched soldiers in congress, the media, and elsewhere. He is truly an inspiration.
