Lets pretend our worst nightmare occured... and some how Huckabee managed to steal the election. Would he actually have the influence to get this fair tax passed and get rid of the IRS.

I see so many worries about the fair tax, and a 23% sales tax sounds CRAZY. :(

4. Don't think so
because, for one thing, it would be a nightmare for business. While governor here, he made service industries like mine start charging sales tax, while doing nothing to reduce our state income tax. If anything, that's what he'd try to do on a national level.

5. No, won't happen
I can't see congress going along with this.

Though I do think the tax code needs to be simplified. a few years ago our federal tax return was about 30 pages long. IT was nuts.

8. No--he latched onto it to grab a ready-made fan base. I don't even think

he fully understands what's involved with it--he is quoted as saying "It would be like waving a magic wand, and all our pain would disappear"--he actually said that. He's a moron.

10. With his in-depth knowledge of the constitution
he probably thinks he can do it by decree.
