5. Not a very pleasant deja vu.
For those who are unaware, Biden's first wife was killed in a traffic accident with two of their children shorly after he was first elected to the Senate.

7. I'm glad she's okay, too.
Must have been so awful for both John and Joe, given their past experiences.

4. Here's the story:
Trucker cited after I-95 crash with Sen. Biden's wife
By TERRI SANGINITI, The News Journal
Updated Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at 4:01 pm
A Maryland tractor-trailer driver was cited by state police this morning after he changed lanes on I-95 and collided with a 2001 BMW driven by U.S. Sen. Joe Biden’s wife Jill.

State police spokesman Cpl. Jeff Whitmarsh said Duane Vanderbosh, of Perryville, was cited for careless driving following the 9:46 a.m. crash on southbound I-95 south of Del. 141.

No one was seriously injured, he said.

Troopers investigating the two-vehicle crash determined that Vanderbosh, who was operating a 1988 International tractor trailer, was southbound in the left center of the highway next to a 2001 BMW driven by Jill Biden, of Greenville.

Whitmarsh said as the rig changed lanes to the left, it plowed into the BMW.

Both vehicles came to a final rest on the left side of the highway.

Jill Biden was taken to Christiana Hospital where she was treated for minor injuries and released.

Vanderbosh was not injured.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts, Whitmarsh said.

Southbound traffic in the area was delayed for about an hour while troopers investigated.

A spokesman for the senator's office declined to comment on "private family matters."

20. Were there any blood samples taken to determine if drugs were
the cause of this trucker plowing into Biden's car?

16. Me too...(also not a BMW)...Gee..
considering that Joe is supposed to be "Owned" lock stock and barrel by the CC industry, you'd think he'd have a better ride for his wife....and himself for that matter-given the fact he rides the amtrack every day.*snark*

21. Everything is Okay...
I'm not surprised that Jill's car is 7 years old. Sounds like Joe. He was never into politics to make money. He just wanted to serve the people. Rides a train everyday to work, son will be shipped out to Iraq, net worth of around $150K, had to take a second mortgage on his house to send his kids to college...Gee, he sounds like one of us. It would have been nice to have one of us in the Oval Office. I'm glad that Jill is okay.

-P
