I am blatantly ripping off another poster in this thread who said his donation would be $1 for every rec. It's a great idea.

Since this is not an official Edwards event with all the resources and hoopla that Ron Paul had - and since Edwards is not particualrly the netizens' darling like he is, $7MM is going to be quite a challenge.

I encourage anyone who even wants a competitive three way race, let alone those who want Edwards to win it, to publish the effort described in the linked thread above as widely as possible.

I certainly encourage anyone who wants to cost me money to rec the thread - which costs you nothing. If I have pissed you off at any time now is the time to get your own back in the wallet :)

but based on my initial sloppy grammar I think some people thought I wanted them to rec this one. That's a nice gesture of course - but I'm looking at the big thread on the front page with 150+ recs to drive my donation, not this one.

You know - a chance at a normal lifespan vs. little pieces of paper.

My husband went through a screening colonoscopy and the doctor said, "We see cancer." We looked over our shoulders and said, "Who are you talking to?" Fortunately it was an early stage 3 and with the surgery and chemo he took, he has ~80% chance of it going away. No guarantees of course and if I lose my insurance, he's uninsurable. A very nervous place to be.

I love both of my Edwards, John and Elizabeth. She is an inspiration and I believe in the depths of my soul that he can get it done. Thank all of you for putting your cash out there.

However, I'm a Nurse and I want Universal Healthcare Coverage.! NOW!!!

Can you tell it's one of my pet peeves. I haven't met a single doctor or nurse in the hospital who wants anything but universal. Hell, the doctors don't even care if they lose income, they say it would be worth it to get the thousands of bloodsucking insurance companies out of practicing medicine, and practicing it badly.
