MAKE A KUCINICH CONTRIBUTION TO HELP PAY FOR THE NH RECOUNT:

http://www.usalone.com/kucinich_constitution.php

On issue after issue, Dennis Kucinich has demonstrated his courage and his leadership. In particular, when nobody else would raise their hand he stepped forward to call for the impeachment of Vice President Cheney.

Please step forward now yourself now to encourage Dennis to continue standing strong on the issues.

MAKE A KUCINICH CONTRIBUTION TO HELP PAY FOR THE NH RECOUNT:
For every donation of $100 dollars or more, Dennis will send you a special commemorative edition of his pocket constitution, just like the one he protects and defends every day. And if you can donate a thousand dollars or more, Dennis will personally autograph it for you.

2. If they create a fund restricted to that purpose I'd donate.
But I won't give to his general fund.

8. Sorry but I don't see a restricted fund in that headline.
It sounds like just a Kucinich contribution that he says he'll use for this purpose - but he's already using his general fund for that. And I'm not giving to his general gund even if I restrict my own gift, because my restricted gift could then just shift other funds into his campaign.

I like DK and all, but I'm not contributing to his campaign.

13. It says that's what it's for...
He DID use $2,000 from his general fund for the recount and needs more FOR THE RECOUNT.

14. Then he should start a restricted fund. Generally saying what he'll do is not adequate.
I work in development - I'm aware of the nuances.

16. OK, but what motivation would he have not to use it for the recount?
Edited on Sat Jan-12-08 09:08 PM by jenmito
He knows we want a recount and it wouldn't help him if he DIDN'T get it done.

17. For one thing, if he runs on the recount issue in any way, then he would technically
be using it for that purpose, which is not my interest. Furthermore, if the recount never happens the $ are his to spend.

So if he really wants a recount, he just needs to create a dedicated fund. He knows that.

6. Exactly. They need to start a specific recount fund.
There are laws around mixing recount and campaign funds and the two types have to be segregated.

People can be so suspicious of democrats. Now IF we were talking Reps, that's different.
