and don't give too much importance to what the other candidates are doing. If there is a controversy between Clinton and Obama over whatever racially sensitive comments were made or might have been made, leave it to Clinton, Obama and their operatives. WE ARE DUers, NOT PAID POLITICAL OPERATIVES. We shoul focus on the good things happening to our candidates instead of whatever the other candidates might be doing wrong.

Obama's had such a great week despite New Hampshire with endorsements raining all over him and with a real shot in Nevada... Clinton had NH and some endorsements as well, Edwards is still standing strong... Can't we just focus on the good things happening to each of them? The environment here will be much less toxic than it is right now if we do.

1. The Hatfields v McCoys feud seems to be confined to the same cast of regulars.....
.... but they pollute the forums with some much toxic garbage that it's hard to avoid.....It almost has the feels like there are political operatives here sometimes, sadly. People take this stuff too personally.

2. What pray tell is Obama doing about corporate ownership of our government ?
Edited on Sat Jan-12-08 12:37 AM by EVDebs
Making deals with NY Gov Michael Bloomberg back on Nov 29th. Hmmm. He's made his choice personal. Obama even paid for that little luncheon. Wall Street will do just fine under Barack and/or Hillary's presidency, I can assure you.

They FEAR an Edwards presidency

It's not Oprah's endorsement that scares me about Obama, it's Wall Street's !

4. And that's the moment to show how focused in your candidate's victory
you truly are by focusing on his/her positives.

9. Yeah and every time you post a positive piece it is torn apart and matched by
tons of negative ones by the opposition. Frankly I am getting sick of it.I have really tried to be respectful but some of the activity on this site and others has absolutely made me ill. I have responded in kind a couple of times but I have still never insulted a poster. Or called them crazy or stupid, which are some of the more delightful appellations I have been treated to!I have pointed out the flaws of certain candidates and indicated that there are several I will not support. But not all candidates are equal and all have flaws. I am really tired of the "my candidate is without sin motif".And the attitude some have that my candidate is "fair game" but theirs should be canonized.

5. I know it's been a hard week for Edwards and his supporters.
I'm truly sorry for that. He and you all deserve much better. But there are some around here who just seem to feed on negativity. There's no convincing them otherwise, because they don't care about the issues, but just feed on the reaction they get.

I don't know about you, but I'm going to have to start making more liberal use of the "ignore" button. I'm sick of getting drawn into this negativity. I like a good debate, but many of the people around here aren't interested in that.

8. ignorance of some posts may be bliss
I've seen several cases recently where a flame war or outrage emerged from a post from someone I had marked ignore.

Use the force!

12. The people who've endorsed
Obama since NH are a shining example of people out in the real world who pay not a whit of attention to the smears and jeers and know who they want from studying on Obama.
