Poll question: Edwards supporters, who would you vote for IF John dropped out (God forbid)?
As I said in another thread, I've been supporting John and Obama. I actually like John's positions the best but I'm worried about stopping Hillary. IF John had to drop out and you could only support Obama and Hillary who would you chose? Thanks.

1. i would not work for either ..i would not contribute to either and i would only hold my nose to
vote..if i could hold my nose hard enough.

I don't like or trust either one.

i really wish you had a third choice.

won't support.

support to me is working for a candidate and giving money and doing GOTV for that candidate..i will do none of the above for either of those candidates.

4. Honestly...I don't know.
At this point, I will vote for the Democratic candidate but will most likely not work for this person unless it is John Edwards. I will be active due to the Senate race here in KY...have to get rid of Mitch McConnell. However, we all need to keep our eye on the prize, there are Supreme Court nominees at stake here. We knew this in 2000 but that election was decided without us; this time, we cannot allow that to happen, too much is at stake. So, still don't know who other than Edwards I prefer but...will vote Dem all the way.

5. They Are 3 Different Candidates--There's No Overlap
And while both Hillary and Obama are stealing Edwards' positions and catch phrases, they haven't incorporated enough of the Edwards populism for me to pick either as an alternative.

6. I'd rather die than support Hillary.
Especially after Hillary and Bill's insulting, condescending attacks on Barack Obama in the last few days.

:grr:

10. Until yesterday I couldn't answer this question, but.....
after the shameful & mean spirited assault on Obama by the Clintons, definitely OBAMA. I hadn't listened to Ms. Clinton's victory speech, but I've heard clips this morning and she has definitely turned me off. And while I have always had a huge respect for Pres. Clinton, I think I like him much better as a statesman, and not a campaigner. If the calls on The Tom Joyner & Steve Hardy shows are any indication, His "fairytale" remark has completely pissed off black voters. You can count me in the "pissed off" camp.

Good luck whipping up enthusiasm in the African American community for her after this.

My vote will be EDWARDS, NO MATTER WHAT!! I'm NOT going to give in to the POWERS THAT BE ever again!! I'll have to live with it, but I have for so very long now, it doesn't matter!

I HAVE SEEN NO REAL change since 2006, so I won't eat my meat & I won't get my pudding!!

18. I really don't see a lot of difference between Hillary & Obama
I think they're both status quo types who'd be more than happy to sell out the middle class and poor people to further their own ambitions.

If Edwards were to drop out I'd either caucus for Kucinich or as "uncommitted". An advantage to caucuses is that you can bascially opt for "none of the above" and, if there are enough people doing that, you can send uncommitted delegates to the national convention. A large enough group of uncommitted delegates can get some concessions from the candidates still in the race.
