Seriously, I wish everyone's candidate could do well tonight
because when it gets right down to it, I actually think they'd all be good presidents. I think they'd all get us out of Iraq and wouldn't get us into any more wars of choice. I think they'd all appoint good judges and justices. I think they'd all surround themselves with people who would advise them well. They'd all fund stem cell research and do a far better job on health. They'd all be good stewards of the environment and tackle climate change. They'd all work to repair our country's image and standing with the rest of the global community. They'd all try and make sure that all Americans have health care coverage. And there's so much more.

The repukes? God(s). Help. Us.

I'm going out to friends to celebrate the resurgence of the dems. Hope you can all find something to celebrate about tonight.

I'm still getting unpacked from our recent trip while watching the NH election returns, and I've said the same thing. Underscoring: "I actually think they'd all be good presidents."

It will certainly all be over before we get to vote in our May 2008 primary in Oregon.

So, we sit back and try to work on other state problems -- especially the election of a Democrat to replace Senator Gordon Smith, plus local issues. My husband is a committee person with the Washington County Democrats here.

Appreciate your insight. Have a wonderful year 2008.
