McCain says he would have invaded Iraq also...
Questioned by Timmy Russert on MTP this morning, he was bragging that was right about the surge. When Timmy asked him if if would have invaded Iraq, he said he would have invaded Iraq but that he would have handled the war differently and that he and Timmy would not even be talking about it this morning. Then went on to say what a great leader General Petraeus was... Just thought somebody should bring that up...

1. Gee, and Tweety and Mike Barnicle were on Tweety's show the other
day, insisting that McCain would NOT have invaded. This is going to pop their man-love balloon. He just fucking loves war, end of story. And he'll strike Iran as sure as shit. Where even Chimpy fears to tread, McCain will certainly jump into the breach, all to prove that we could have won Vietnam.

2. kentuck, McWar would invade a doughnut shop if he thought he
could get another chance to play military strategerist or revel in past glories. His favorite tune is "Taps" and his favorite movie is "Patton." He loves militarism because it's the only life he knows. Wonder what would have happened to him if he had joined the Peace Corps instead.

4. Yeah, I'm beginning to think so.
The Republican debate was interesting in that so many of the Repubs, with the exception of Ron Paul, were complimentary of George W Bush and the war in Iraq.

3. Yeah, but he would have done it "the right way"
As if there is a right way to illegally invade a foreign country for no good reason other than greed and power.
