If somehow Obama and Edwards could be merged -- It would be an unbeatable candidate
In tonight's debate, both showed their best sides.

Edwards' passion and his dead-accurate assessment of the problems we face as a country....Obama's coolness and more cerebral approach.

I prefer Edwards, because he's more on my wavelength.

But man oh man....As a combo they are dynomite.

No I don't expect Edwards to be a VP candidate, nor Obama. But if there could be a two-person presidency....

16. Why not take a compliment?
I wasn't criticizing Obama....I was praising both of them.

5. Together they make a very passionite force though.
As an Obama supporter, I genuinely believe that together the two could really make something of this country. JE is so passionite, and jumps right on the lobbyists, etc. Obama is very motivating and energizing - you can see a beautiful future when you hear him speak. I think the two would be unstoppable.

15. Physically impossible obviously
It's hypothetical, but that's the sense I got from their combined energies last night.
Together they make up a nice cop, tough cop scenerio.

I think Obama could use more of Edwards toughness and fire, while Edwards could benefit from a little more of Obama's cerebral qualities and his "hope" vibe.

7. They represent the same thing, but from two distinctly different compass points..
Edwards the scrapper/fighter.. Obama the orator. They both inspire me. But I'm more of a scrapper ! Those two in a room together, man.. Katie bar the door !

8. If Obama wins, Edwards for AG
I agree with you, they do compliment each other well. That would be a helluva good cop-bad cop combo.

13. That's what I just said on another thread-he's the anti-Gonzales
Edwards might not be flattered to read our suggestion, but his passion on criminal conduct and corporate greed reminds me of the passion Robert F. Kennedy had for going after the mafia.

10. I hope if Obama gets the nomination, Edwards would be the VP choice (or vice versa)
Either one would be a great POTUS...But if one of them gets the nomination & the other doesn't want the VP position, then perhaps AG, justice on Supreme Court, etc?.....

11. I think it's obvious that this will happen...
Edited on Sun Jan-06-08 01:15 AM by TwoSparkles
I can't imagine that either of them would pick anyone else as their running mate.

They seemed to be working together tonight in the debate. The nuances between
the two of them are unmistakable.

I think it's a foregone conclusion that an Obama/Edward or Edwards/Obama ticket will happen if
either gets the nomination.

They'd be unstoppable.

12. Except one belongs to the corporate world, the other to the People
I want someone who will do my bidding, not the corporations bidding.
Sorry, but call it as I see it.

14. I understand...
I am an Obama supporter. However, I love John Edwards and I am totally in agreement with
his beliefs on corporate corruption.

I had a tough time deciding on a candidate in the Iowa caucuses. There was a lot of
reciprocity between the Edwards and Obama camps. It was nice.

I agree that Obama is more corporate. His stance is that we have to work with the corporations
and have them at the table. Edwards doesn't want to negotiate at all.

I do agree more with Edwards on that point--and it was a point I struggled with and why I
remained undecided for so long.

I respect your opinion.
