Whether Hillary's outburst becomes the "Dean Scream" is up to the media
Edited on Sun Jan-06-08 12:07 AM by Bleachers7
Hillary's outburst comes off bad on TV, especially in shorter clips with less context. So, like the Dean Scream... If the media decides that Hillary "was out of control", Hillary has a real problem. This is going to get a lot of play. I can't tell yet which way it's going to go. There's also another angle to consider. Chris Todd says that it played well with Dems and was extremely negative with independents.

1. Won't get as much play as the Dean scream.
The media have a different agenda re: Hillary.

2. I agree that it won't get as much, because it's not as over the top.
It will depend on how they present it.

3. It won't get as much because the corporatists love Hillary
and were afraid of Dean.

4. Well, I'm not waiting for anyone to decide for me ....
She is NOT doing herself or her party proud and hasn't been since she began her Presidential campaign. She has put her husband's legacy at risk and underperformed as a campaigner at every turn.

And, while I think she's a good person, well intentioned, with some very good ideas -- I also believe this is just not the contest that will provider her with the means to accomplish her goals.

5. WMUR's simultaneous audience response showed
very negative responses from independents. They were generally least enthusiastic about Clinton of all the dems, but especially negative when she had the "outburst"

6. I read that from Chris Todd.
I'd love to know if Dems jumped, flatlined or what.
