"This is Lexington and Concord..."
I've been thinking more and more about Chris Matthews' offhand comment on caucus night about the historical note of the Obama victory: "This is Lexington and Concord..."

He's right. The British were overconfidant, and expecting an easy mission to take munitions away from the pathetic colonials and secure their own dominance. 24 hours later, the British garrison at Boston was besieged by an army of twenty thousand troops.

Clinton has lost New Hampshire. She's down either 10 or 12 points depending on which poll you read, and there's no way to recover from that in 48 hours, not when your campaign is going with the same failed strategy as before.

With Iowa and New Hampshire gone, Clinton loses South Carolina, and her lead in the national polls, and she begins to be perceived as a loser.

It's highly likely that in six weeks, Barack Obama is the Democratic nominee for the Presidency.

2. Someone posted here last night an article in which a shaken Clinton advisor
said that the Obama supporters "grabbed their muskets and came out of their caves" in Iowa. I hope it's the same in NH, and all over the country.
