Bill: Hillary Will Go Negative, And It's The Media's Fault
Bill on going negative: media bias made her do it

Bill Clinton voiced his abiding anger at the media's coverage of him and his wife in Durham, N.H., today, and suggested that media bias will force Clinton to go negative on Barack Obama.

He also expressed his frustration that his wife is perceived by voters as divisive through, he said, no fault of her own.

Clinton, like his wife, is traveling New Hampshire taking questions from voters, and he spoke at the University of New Hampshire in Durham in response to a plea from a woman who said she'd like it "if you and Clinton joined Barack Obama in putting the Republicans on notice" that it was time to "change the game" and end the "meanness" and "manipulation" in politics.

Clinton replied that he liked the idea — in theory.

3. yeah, it's pretty amazing how little i can get from this person (obama)...
Edited on Sat Jan-05-08 01:36 AM by annie1
and so little is written in papers. so now 5 days after a big win he's going to walk into another win totally unknown. i know more about huckabee than him, and i pay much more attention to democrats. i was just watching pbs tonight and a reporter was saying re: Obama how his colleagues in the senate aren't particularly fond of him, and some just really don't like him. some find him arrogant, and others just plain resent him. how come no one knows anything about him. ??

7. Who's fault is it if you know more about r-THUGS than Democrats Annie?

Why not log on to Senator Obama's website and educate yourself on his issues?

http://www.barackobama.com/

You are officially the only person I've ever seen on here who claims to know more about Huckaduck than one of our own...

8. yes, i know about his 'issues' and everything on his site, i've read quite a bit...
Edited on Sat Jan-05-08 01:51 AM by annie1
i'm talking about more. to me, he's hard to read. huck's dark, we know that cuz he says fucked up things like, slashing his wrists if he were further behind in the polls. that type of thing, anything. we know so much about our candidates right down to hillary's dress designers. just saying, i can't read him at all. know nothing outside the few articles that have been written about him, pics of his smiling face on newspapers, and watching video's of him on youtube. versus the 1,000's that have been written about hillary. so don't assume i don't educate myself, i really don't appreciate that. and the convo is also about the general public, not just me.

11. I really don't think you educate yourself. You're flighty as hell
When I first started to notice your posts, you were pretty anti-Hillary. Then you started agreeing with me about Bloomberg. Now you adore Hillary like a school girl reading tigerbeat magazine. This is all in the course of a month.

We get it. YOU no longer "get" Obama. But to make the outragious claim that you know more about Huck then Obama means that you have to be refusing to educate yourself about all the candidates.

23. Really? I didn't know that he was not particularly well regarded by his peers.
The arrogant part I can fully believe. Why else would a guy who had barely warmed his seat in the senate assume that he was ready to be president?

I've tried to like the guy just in case he does pull it off and win the nomination, but I can't. He's too slick and reminds me of a used car salesman. He makes all this vapid promises and pounds the change motif but it all seems smoke and mirrors. I don't want a motivational speaker, I want someone who has gravitas and actually knows what the job entails. Hillary is my first choice, but I would prefer any of the other Dem. candidates over Obama.

4. The media has gone negative on some for years now.
They don't get the luxury of being negative, or they don't get coverage at all.

At least the Clintons are mentioned..Edwards is never talked about.

Except on KO tonight...glad he had Edwards on.

He's not gonna be able to keep his nose out of this campaign. He's such an egotist he thinks his personal charm can rescue her lousy campaign, but he's yesterday's news. He needs to go off on some junket with his asshole buddy daddy boosh until this campaign is over.

16. Blaming media bias already, eh?
You know, I thought Hillary was still in this fight, but if Bill's already blaming the media, then I guess it really is all over but the crying.

And there will be much crying from the Hillary camp, I anticipate. There already is. I've honestly never seen grapes this sour.

there and will remain.

Howie Kurtz: If Hillary doesn't win Iowa, is the press going to savage her as a loser?

Dana Milbank: The press will savage her no matter what, pretty much.

30. I love this comment from OneWorriedDemocrat:
"A rallying Cry All Clinton supporters should converge on www.hillaryclinton.com and donate. I have already done it. Do not let our party be run by the Chicago mobsters."

So now Obama's a jihadist Muslim drug-dealing mobster? The smears coming from the Clinton camp keep getting more and more desperate.

33. I don't know why this is surprising.
Some are acting really outraged that she might "go negative" against Obama. But now that he's the perceived frontrunner -- with upward momentum -- it's just what I'd expect. (Just as, when HRC was out in front, the other candidates 'went negative' against her.)

It's just the way it goes!

35. Free to
take off her own chained leg with the saw provided by the GOP. All true. Good luck with all that. Is it dawning on Bill that they are perpetually caught in mutually exclusive choices? It is ironclad around the entire campaign with nothing personal to be faulted that could change anything. It would a nice time to reflect on all the contradictions and not think you can keep floating above and surmounting them mystically, but if Impeachment didn't get the practical points across enough, it is far too late now.

Fighting with two hands tied in front of your back when she would prefer one free and one behind the back. Both hands behind the back and of course she wouldn't be actually running.
