A Reminder: CSpan Will Be Broadcasting Live From Two Caucus
I have no idea what the plural of caucus is and I'm not even going to try.

C-Span I will be broadcasting from a Democratic caucus and C-Span II will do the same for a Republican Caucus. The rules are not the same for the two.

I recall watching the same thing 4 years ago. I believe the Democratic Caucus they showed was in a school and the Republican one in some community building. What I am interested in seeing this year are the relative crowds. I know they are expecting a record turnout despite the very cold temperatures. Interesting; Republican turnout is expected to be low in that many Republicans are either not participating or have switched sides. Democrats will more than make up for the scant Republican showing. This bodes well for the General Election. You can expect not only that the Democrat will take it but also that it will be an election with an historically high voter turnout but also a spectacular landslide for us Democrats. This is going to be a great night.

2. The Dems go to the corners for candidates to show support
while the Repubes write a name on a slip of paper and it goes into a box to be counted. Someone was on CNN the other noght and explained the differences. I think the Dem process is more transparent and daunting. But, of course! ;)

4. Our Repubs and Dems are in the same building...
...so I can send anecdotal evidence of the difference in crowd size. :)

BTW, the room we're in is literally 4 times larger than the room the repubs are in. I think that's a good sign.
I'm interested to see how our precinct rebups go - the 2 most prominent republicans in town are for different candidates (Mittens and Ghouliani). I don't see Huckabee doing very well in our precinct.

thx - cs
