Gay People are coming to YOUR TOWN !!!! OMG!!! *lol*
Can I get some creepy horror movie music?

Seriously, this is so incredibly, willfully stupid. I'm torn between disgust and the urge to laugh at their boogeyman attempts at scaremongering.

https://store.afa.net/pc-10000122-5-theyre-coming-to-your-town-dvd.aspx

Residents of the small Arkansas town of Eureka Springs noticed the homosexual community was growing. But they felt no threat. They went about their business as usual. Then, one day, they woke up to discover that their beloved Eureka Springs, a community which was known far and wide as a center for Christian entertainment--had changed. The City Council had been taken over by a small group of homosexual activists.

The Eureka Springs they knew is gone. It is now a national hub for homosexuals. Eureka Springs is becoming the San Francisco of Arkansas. The story of how this happened is told in the new AFA DVD “They’re Coming To Your Town.”

AFA’s “They’re Coming ToYour Town” documents the story of how and why this happened. And how homosexual activists plan to do the same in other towns.

oooooeeeeooooooooooo!!!

16. I was thinking same...
If you've ever been to Eureka Springs....

Beautiful place, but..

Heck, they don't even have Street Cars...

What are they going to do, name a single bar "The Castro"?

One of the wingers on Tweety's show tonight used the phrase "Militant Gays"
Cracked us up! They're SO scared of being "taken over" by "homosexual activists," aren't they?

14. Yes. Wonder what his stand is on don't ask don't tell
since he's so worried about militant gays...

Oh, you don't mean troops?

I heard that too. What an ass. At least it gave me another chance to point out what assinine things he was saying to my young son.

Pretty sad when an militant activist is someone seeking to enjoy equal rights.

17. News flash: gays in the South

I love the DVD art. I didn't realize that the gay menace actually took the physical form of a rainbow colored aurora borealis that hangs over your drab little town. It actually looks a little festive, which isn't what I think they were going for.

I am shocked, shocked. There are gay people in the south. Who knew? Then again, who didn't? Who did they think was buying all those white linen suits that are part of the culture down here, Colonel sanders?

The town on the DVD box looks remarkably like Amsterdam. That's even more frightening than San Francisco!

19. It's even more horrifying than you think....
I'm writing this from Eureka Springs, AR - Gay Mecca - What our favorite local preacher calls, "The most homosexual city in the south."

Yes, we've taken over Eureka Springs. But you ain't seen nothin' yet:

Today Eureka Springs, Tomorrow Toad Suck: The Planetary Gay Agenda Disclosed

Actually, the AFA movie is the latest in a series of hilarious, fundamental missteps.

Eureka's Domestic Partnership Registry (DPR) was passed unanimously, three times, by the mostly-not-gay city council. The preacher who led the resistance (mentioned above as our "favorite") tried various things to stop the DPR from going into effect. When none of his Coyote 'n Roadrunner-style schemes worked, he decided it would be a great idea to call on the AFA for help.

Oops.

The AFA called a boycott of Eureka Springs, but the only businesses that are being boycotted are the ones that cluster around the big firetrucking Jesus (it's a statue.) Then the AFA turned Eureka Springs into a perpetual fund raiser with their movie.

So now, gays, lesbians and assorted liberals frolic under the rainbow aurora borealis, and the "Christians" (I use that term with reservation) are running around hollering, "Wait! Wait! When we said boycott, we didn't mean us!"

It's kind of poetic, really.

22. There is a phrase that is attributed to the Bible (IDK) that seems appropriate.
"Those that sow the wind, shall reap the whirlwind."

I see it happening with the Huckabee victory. Not one Neo-Con actually thought through the process of "empowering" the fundy base. That by engaging the human reflex toward self-protection; they might actually want more power if you kept telling them their way of life was threatened on all sides.

One the one hand, they can all burn in their mythical Hell for all I care. On the other, I do pity them in much the same way I pity very stupid children.
