I've got a bunch of video from earlier in the day, which we'll get up later tonight. After landing in Omaha, we drove up to Sioux City, first a Clinton event, and then to catch the tail end of an Obama event. There were about 200-250 at the Clinton event, but about double that number at the Obama event.

These are the kinds of reports that really tell the story about who has the momentum in the final hours, and the stories are quite encouraging as of late. If turnout at rallies today is any indication of turnout Thursday night, the Obama camp is in a very strong position.

4. I didn't say it "proved" anything.

But it is a very positive indicator of supporter enthusiasm and willingness to show up at an event. That's very critical, and especially encouraging less than 48 hours before the caucusing starts. Apparently, the rallies were in the same town, and Obama drew twice the crowd.

6. That really suprises me. I don't mean to sound superficial, but Hillary...
is so much more famous than everyone else. I guess Iowans are a lot more grounded than the average person, because Hillary is such a big name. I'm always suprised when i hear how much bigger others audiences are.

8. If 60% of that crowd does not caucus what good is having a big
crowd. Happy to see Obama drawing so many....but here and now I say HRC will win iowa by narrow margin.....and obama who is a man of his word or at least that what all you supporters say he is, then I suspect come Friday morning after losing he will drop out of the campaign.....

I have to laugh win folks say hrc campaign is in trouble if she loses iowa and loses nh . excuse me but tell me what state other then s c can obama beat hrc nationwide? There is no state obama can win...Hell, even if he wins all 4 hrc will still have a majority of delegates by the 15th or the end of Feb. to be the nominee.....

You think I am whistling in the win, then why does Ruby get a pass on iowa and nh and others and rests his campaign on the nationwide campaign wins?

9. eh hem
whatever Hillary gets you have to multiply X 2. Bill has just as many events that Hillary has. BTW, you leave out of your hit piece the next item.

Update <2008-1-1 22:13:36 by Jerome Armstrong>: The event was packed again, but not overflow as it was in Sioux City, for Obama in Council Bluffs, but so was Clinton's an hour earlier just down the road, each with about 500 inside. We are heading over to the Edwards office in Council Bluffs now. Here are some photos from Sioux City earlier today:

17. and how many of those 250 were paid staffers?
Edited on Wed Jan-02-08 01:35 AM by TwoSparkles
This has to be asked...why does Hillary Clinton need 1,000 staffers in Iowa?

I'm thinking that she's padding her events with her own people.

I wouldn't be surprised if she has her own people caucus for her.

Good thing many of us will be videotaping and taking pictures. If candidates
have their operatives caucus for them, we will expose it.
