New ARG Poll: Biden at 8% in Iowa in Iowa
http://americanresearchgroup.com/

Not bad considering that was about where Kerry was at this time in 2003, and better than Edwards was. I'd love to see Biden get into the 1st tier.

1. At this time in 2003, the caucuses were an additional two weeks away.
Remember that the elections's been moved up by 14 days compared to the last cycle. The time for him to make his move is now, if not last week. Things seem a lot more closed in general, this time around, as well.

I'd like to see him break through, but being everybody's second choice just isn't going to cut it.

2. I'm hoping for Joe to come in at least 2nd in Iowa!
Each day that Hillary & Obama throw darts at one another makes both of them more undesireable. I had this discussion with my son yesterday. He is convinced that the Dems will lose in 08 because neither Hillary or Obama is electable! He went on to say he watched the Pub youtube debate to see what that crowd looked like. He said they're all losers and we're in for some deep sh*t! My response was that nobody knows who's going to win the nomination on either side! I'm still looking for the 2 front running Dems to shoot each other, and a 3rd is going to emerge as the winner. On the Pubs side, I have NO IDEA! I think Huck will probably win in Iowa because of all the fundies there, but I doubt he's going to do well in NH or NV, and I REALLY doubt he will be the winner on Feb. 5th! Rudy seems to be tanking everywhere, Thompson is just a nobody, and Romney has his own problems. I guess it well could end up being McCCain who my son calls the crazy mean guy with the white hair!

3. As smart as your son is...
For Joe to break thru in Iowa, then not one, but two, of the current media-approved candidates would have to crash and burn. Instead, all three are honing their games and performing to specs. Both Edwards and Obama are climbing in the polls. Clinton may slide a few more points, but her support is not going away. I just don't see a window there.

5. Well, I'm a dreamer, and I was firmly convinced that we were going to have
a President Dean too! U gotta tell ya, I didn't see Kerry rising from the grave in 03 either! So I'm going to continue to dream about President Biden!

12. Your son is one of the smart ones. Hillary and Obama are a ticket to defeat next year.
Biden is my second choice. I wish Biden and Richardson got more media attention. Right now, the media attention given to Hill and Bar is overload and saturation. I'm convinced that a significant part of either's support, is wall-to-wall media coverage.

4. Are the odds against Biden? Absolutely.
They odds were against Kerry before the Iowa caucus as well. Iowa has a way of being very surprising sometimes. If anyone is going to surprise, it is going to be Biden imo. No scientific evidence, just a hunch.

And it isn't too late for any candidate to crash and burn. I am rooting for Hillary to be 08's Dean.

9. In my book he's been the only 1st tier candidate from the start.
There's not one candidate running who has anything on Sen. Biden. There's our good president if we want one, but we have to want one first, and not just someone who promises they'll be everything you want them to be.

14. right on schedule
This doesn't surprise me.....with saying that though I don't put much stock in polls. I would say and have been saying the trend is up for Biden. I went and saw him again tonight.....there were tears shed. I am going to post a video if I can figure this thing out. This was a much different campaign stop than I've ever seen before. The momentum is growing...
