The Hillary Campain's last move
Edited on Fri Dec-14-07 09:39 AM by Bleachers7
You're watching the Hillary ship sink. Apparantely their last move is pushing the "Obama is black" and a drug dealer meme. It started with Billy Shaheen and continues here.

For example: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.ph...

Hillary's campaign is a disgrace from top to bottom. No one will forget that in the final moments of the Hillary campaign, they resorted to racism. They replied to hope with fear.

One of the most digusting parts of this is that it's actually happening on DU. The Clinton campaign will be gone soon, but it will always be remembered.

33. Your post IS a crock
You title it "The Hillary Campain's last move"
you then say "Apparantely their last move is"
cite a DU thread as the campaign
then say the author of the thread is
"Just a supporter"
then ask where you said it.

3. I'm not so sure.
This race is still very much in play.

If enough Dems are interested in having a candidate who plays hard ball, then she might very well run away with it.

It's not hard to believe that it was planned. Also, thyere's an article today saying Shaheen is goign to stay involved without a title. There was no true resignation or punishment.

32. Put up a quote, pumpkin.
And that's no excuse for your dogshit about DU posters being part of the Clinton campaign. Conflate much. I would never join you in your little gutter. I've never attacked Edwards on anything like his haircut. I've never smeared his supporter. I've criticized him substantively. I've also said good things about him- though not as often as I've criticized him. And you're confused, I don't hate him. As I've said many times here, if he's the nominee, I'll gladly work for him and vote for him.

Wanna see blind hatred? Turn to your nearest reflective surface. You'd be blinded by it if you weren't already there.

"I gladly admit. The DU narrative of John Edwards as the great white progressive hope of 2008, grates on me."
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.ph...

I never said he was in the campaign. I said the campaign got it started and her supporters ran with it.

Before this gets too nasty, I always read your stuff here and I respect you as a DUer. It's nothing personal.

43. sorry, my stuff doesn't compare. I did
apologize for using the phrase "great white hope", but both those posts were in response to Edwards supporters spreading the loathsome meme that a black man and a white woman aren't as electable as a white southern male- the worst argument that anyone can make for Edwards, and it really should be called out when it rears its ugly racist/sexist head.

And Obama is partly responsible. He's the one that made the recent speech in NH about his drug use. That in no way excuses Shaheen or posters here, but its really not fair to conflate posters on DU with her campaign.

I read your stuff too, and sometime agree with it, but your OP is not well considered. To say the least. Perhaps you might consider doing as I did and apologizing.

Survey of 1,106 Likely Dem Caucus Participants
December 10, 2007

Hillary Clinton 29% Barack Obama 26% John Edwards 22%

South Carolina: http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2007/12/14/sc-poll... /

The poll of Democratic primary voters (South Carolina) showed Clinton leading with 42 percent, Obama second at 34 percent and former Sen. John Edwards third with 16 percent.

The remaining Democrats were at 3 percent or less.

The poll's sampling error is plus or minus 4.5 for Democratic primary voters.

Obama, who moved up 7 points since the July poll, was helped by increased support among black voters.

While in July, 33 percent of African-American Democrats said they would vote for Obama, he now has 45 percent of their support compared to Clinton's 46 percent.
