No Democrat can win in 2008
Edited on Fri Dec-14-07 07:21 AM by lamprey
Hillary Clinton: negatives, baggage
Barak Obama: green, black
John Edwards: public money, flip flops
Graham Richarson: uninspiring, VP choice
Joe Biden: no money, second tier
Chris Dodd: cranky, unknown
Dennis Kucinich: unelectable, period.

That's the consensus view, setting aside the obvious shilling.
So let's set aside our differences and welcome our next Republican Overlord.

1. Oh please
Against the strange little toads the republicans have running this time around? Grampa Fred, Rudy, Plastic Mitt, the Huckster and Get-off-my-lawm McCain? I'm not worried.

3. I know you're being flippant, but, sadly, this list is why
I'm having such a difficult time getting excited about 2008. As much as I don't want a Republican Overlord, as you put it, the fact that this list can even be produced in jest concerns me. When one figures the Republicans have the media and the voting machines, deficits such as these DO matter.

Again, I know you were trying to make the point that all candidates have pros and cons and we should unite once a nominee is decided, but I do worry about many of those very things (along with the fact that HRC voted for the war and Edwards is untrustworthy and Obama seems a lesser corporatist).

6. First of all, I contest the meme that the repukes will
have the MSM. They didn't in 2006. Yes they'll try and cheat, but the odds against them getting away with it are smaller than 2006. The dems have an excellent chance next year.

10. Oh yes we can
Its not even a question its not the Democrats or a Republican votes it is the Independents. The Independents are leaning total Democrat!! Of course we have to pull our base voters but thats no problem we don't have any Independent candidate to pull votes away this time. We will win 2008!

16. The damage is already done. The general consensus of him just being in the GOP
with flush him. Also, these bums wouldn't even show up for the Black Caucus debates, twice.

The GOP is not minority friendly.

22. Don't have to make a list
just have to look at the 8 years they have been in office. 2008 is going to be the economy which if you been watching is going down the toilet fast. Jobs lost higher food and energy cost higher health care people losing their homes should I go on? By the time we are deep into the election it will be so bad people will be wanting and praying for a change. All in good timing it will not be the war it will be the economy it will not stay above water much longer.

20. NO Can Do!
Edited on Fri Dec-14-07 07:51 AM by Liberals Rule
The Democrats have the best shot in years of regaining everything! Thanks to this administration who has set the Republican party back about 50 years. I think anyone..Lib or conservative has to realize that another neocon in office will spell the end to our Democracy as we know it.
So..Barring Bush from declaring martial law in November or before..I think we will see a Dem in the White House very soon.

And unlike virtually everyone else in this thread, I understand the point you're making.

But I'm an optimist. I'll bet that after everyone's had a cup of coffee, they'll realize your point is how stupid and superficial these criticisms are, not how viable they are.

And why is it Lamprey, that every single time you post --- it is ALWAYS to diss Democrats?

If you don't care for the Democratic Party, why even bother coming here?

Oh. And there is no "Graham" running.

And while I'm at it.. Richardson has a "D" in it.

Dip.
