Four Clinton campaign staffers were caught sockpuppeting Blue Hampshire
I'm shocked! Shocked, I tell you... no, really. I am. Shocked, that is.

From the Blue Hampshire website:

Recently, we admins noticed this comment thread on a recommended diary, and the oddities it posed made us look a little deeper than we
normally would. As the comment thread revealed, users pinballwizard, elf, shley24, MTAY all registered in succession to recommend the
diary. A further look by us revealed that:

* they had registered within minutes of each other, including another user a bit later, janbaby, who was not among the recommenders,
* the same IP address was used by all of them, and is registered to the Clinton campaign,
* two other recommenders, blues and kmeisje, also registered from the same IP address.

To be clear, and to reiterate what's stated in our Getting Started page: paid campaign staff are welcome in this community, but are asked to disclose
their affiliation to a campaign, either through their signature line, a disclosure statement on a diary, or even in the choosing of a username. The fact
that all the users mentioned above came from a Clinton campaign IP, but did not register with campaign email addresses, and avoided making
comments or diaries, instead only recommending pro-Clinton diaries, strikes us as gaming the system and a form of "recommend astroturf."
As a result, we have banned those accounts, and will do so again for undisclosed paid staffers of any campaign if need be.

We have spoken with Kathleen Strand, who assured us that this was not an orchestrated effort...

Uh huh. Sure.

Strand is Hillary's NH spokeswoman, by the way. She's the same one who's been handling the 'Bill Shaheen "wondering" if Obama was a drug dealer'
implosion.

Just another busy day in Hillaryworld. :eyes:

2. Are you calling me a sockpuppet? Please call me a sockpuppet, Clintonian apologist.
Edited on Fri Dec-14-07 12:36 AM by ClarkUSA
Do it. C'mon. While you're screwing up the courage to do more than hit and run in true Clintonian fashion (see Bill Shaheen, Hillary's "Obama
Is A Dangerous Muslim" emailers, Novak's story about a "Clinton operative's whispering campaign"), please feel free to comment on the
moral and ethical bankruptcy of the Clinton campaign ethos.

3. It's an ill-defined term, so, not knowing an agreed upon common definition, I'll withdraw it

Funny how you edited your post so fast. Could it be you were "alerted" you had broken DU rules? Hmmm?

17. lol
Love that new NH poll thread, hmnnf. Obama is in a statistical dead heat in NH now, according to RCP Poll Averages. His trend lines in Iowa, NH, and SC look
the same: going up, up, up....

Hillaryworld internet guru (he of the phony old poll data) Peter Daou's trained seals never learned that trick... yet. I bet they will now
that they finally got caught doing something they've been doing on many websites (cough, cough) for months. DKos' coordinated
swarm is something to behold, synchronized talking points and all. ;-)
