Oregon Governor endorses Hillary...

OK, he's no Oprah, but Gov. Ted Kulongoski has laid his presidential cards on the table: He likes Hillary Clinton.

The Clinton campaign issued a news release a few minutes ago announcing Kulongoski's endorsement of her campaign for the Democratic presidential nomination.

Clinton, Kulongoski said in the release, "has the strength and experience to restore hope and opportunity to working Americans." No one, he said "is better equipped to repair the damage of the last seven years and repair our standing in the world."

Kulongoski has been busy endorsing Oregon Democratic candidates, including House Speaker Jeff Merkley for the U.S. Senate and Ben Westlund's bid for state treasurer.

1. Good for Gov. of my home state.
When Hillary is elected she will repair the damage done by the Bush administration. She's the only one qualified to do it.

When Hillary is elected she will repair the damage done by the Bush administration. She's the only one qualified to do it.

I can see truth in the first sentence, but the second is completely bullocks. Are you saying Richardson is "not qualified"? What about Dodd or Edwards or Obama or Biden? All of these people are highly qualified, intelligent, informed leaders. Is their some special quality about Clinton that makes her the sole qualified candidate?

Your claim that HRC is the "only one qualified" to repair the damage done by the Bush administration is patently absurd.

8. Then I should know, right? I voted for him. I have earned the right to
comment on his performance.

10. Also, my comment reflects not at all upon Hillary. She's a better

candidate than any of the Repuglick'ns. However, she's not my first choice (she's third); and, I doubt very much if Ted's endorsement will move a single Oregon voter. IMO. HIllary will not take Oregon. Not that it matters with us voting - what is it, third from last? Will Ted's endorsement affect voters in other states? Not likely. The whole nation knows us for the lunatic fringe.

7. That's crazy
The rank and file hate her. I can't imagine what he's trying to accomplish with that.

12. The rank and file?
You are the one who hates her. I've read your derogatory comments toward her.

14. Oregon activists love Howard Dean
and I'm not particularly a huge fan of his. I do have the ability to be objective. She does not have wide support among the rank and file in Oregon, none of the DLC types too. Edwards is popular here.

15. It's too bad I haven't been waiting for my governor
to tell me how to vote, lol.

Ted, you can get back to work now. I'll vote for Westlund; he's my rep, and as a recent defector from the republican party, every vote counts. I haven't decided about the Senate race yet. I'll let you know if I feel the need for advice on that decision. HRC is off the table. Now please...get back to work.
