God is Dying...

Mike Huckabee recently alluded that God was behind his rise in the polls...that his recent "surge" was not due to people.

My studies of religion and politics, and many other things, tell me that this is not likely true. But if it were, how weak is this all-powerful Christian God? How could this God be so weak that he can only convince 29% of REPUBLICANS in IOWA that Mike Huckabee is his chosen instrument?

Apparently this God of Huckabee's either favors Democrats, or...gasp...he may not be alone as a diety! Or, could the all-powerful Christian God be in ill health? What is the deal?

Suffice it to say, that I have zero belief that any god has any influence on who the people (attempt to) choose politically.

9. Huckabee is mixing up his concept of God

with God. No one knows what God is, exactly; as we evolve, our God Concepts shatter as we encounter new evidence of the nature of God. Surprise--It may not be male! Or female! It may be a force of energy, the underlying support and structure of matter--something that is both in the universe and in ourselves. It's folks like Huckabee that try to limit God via their own concepts. What we are seeing is the death of the concept of God.
