Liberal Group plans to begin airing TV ad against Hillary in Iowa
WASHINGTON (AP) - Liberal activists plan to begin airing a television ad against Hillary Rodham Clinton in Iowa this week, the first non-Republican negative ad aimed at a Democratic presidential candidate.

The group, Democratic Courage, has accused Clinton of making policy decisions on the basis of polls, not convictions. It planned to introduce the ad Tuesday.

Glenn Hurowitz, the group's president, described the spot as a modest buy that would run on cable only, meaning it won't be seen as much as ads by Clinton and rival Barack Obama, who are spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on ads in the state.

7. I no longer have tolerance....
... for Democratic infighting. There is virtually no difference between Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, and John Edwards, policy wise. The only variances comes in character and how they present themselves.
Locally we had an election this past November for County Executive. The Democratic candidates weren't anyone impressive, but they were, before the primary, competent. After a disaster-filled Republican administration, in a Democratic area, the Democrats should have waltzed in, but due to a disgusting primary full of in-fighting and other dirty pettiness, they lost sight of their ultimate goal, and the Republican won in a MAJOR landslide.
As much as I love Sen. Clinton and feel her campaign has been virtually flawless, I have a feeling this is going to happen in the Presidential race of next year....

Democratic Courage

Friends of the John Edwards campaign have launched Democratic Courage, a PAC that aims to attack Hillary Clinton from the Left. Judging from some of their articles, they also appear ready to attack Barack Obama - and anyone other than Edwards - as well. I hope they stick to Hillary. It would be easy for the Clinton campaign AND the media to marginalize these folks as Edwards surrogates (they gave money to Edwards' campaign) - unless they stick to Hillary bashing.

Neither Edwards or Obama are immune to various nitpicky attacks from the Left on various issues. This effort would be most effective if it were aimed at Hillary, not Obama.

11. Oh yes lets lose again in 08. Truthfully people if
the dems wanna lose in 08 then the right wing is saying "please make obama your nominee". Why do you think they are saying such sweet and nice things about Obama. Cause these racist bastards will scare the chit out of southern whites enough so that any state now in play with hrc as the candidate is taken off the table with obama.

Lets face the truth here people. To me this is a matter of WHO wants it more. Who has the fire in the belly. I will write that I cannot support Obama for one reason. He expects to be handed the nomination for the simple reason he is black. Obama for some reason believes it is his time, irregardless if he is qualifed or experienced enough. You have Mrs Obama running around thelling black folks they are too ignorant to vote for her husband and maybe the blacks will "wake up in time". Such a crock....

Oh so when Obama loses the nomination just who is Mrs Obama going to blame? uh huh YES! She will blame it on the black people. She has laid the ground work already when he loses.

Ben David

24. You are correct. and I agree with you.
The left of the Democratic Party will screw up this election. The whiny people who cannot see past the vote in 2002 are crazed. Obama cannot talk about anything else, every day he mentions it. That is why I cannot stand him. The repuks will use all this chit can stuff to throw back at us. I remember the idiot fringe did the same thing Kerry. They bashed him all the time on this site. Wake up folks or it will be president romney or goulani maybe even huckabee gods little messenger to the world. Get off your high horse because your talking through your behind.

Thanks for calling us crazy, whiny, idiotic, and holier-than-thou for daring to support progressive candidates.

We'll (goose-)step right on over to the Right wing of the Democratic party, shall we? Because they've been doing such a great job standing up to Bush!

I don't understand why this is legal just before an election. I think issue advocacy should always be permitted, but 3rd party advertising should be against FEC regulations.

Also not a Hillary fan. Bottom line, I want a Dem pres. Our candidates should challenge each other up front and out there - well - that may be a bit silly, there will always be sneaky little stabs in the back by the "other guy", Ha

34. Great, now we're going to swiftboat each other. Hillary has spawned a new low in democratic politics
And yes, I'm blaming the "victim". She's been so spiteful and mean (and her supporters the same) that I honestly don't think I'd even go to the polls if she gets the nomination. I never thought I'd say that about a democrat. She is bringing out the absolute worst in this party and it's disgusting.
