to vote in the Iowa caucuses? I haven't seen any Obamaites crying with outrage at what looks like flat out cheating.

The Obama campaign just continues to shoot itself in the foot over and over and over...

Obama warned drive could offend Iowans

The campaign of Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) is drawing some local skepticism for a drive to recruit non-Iowans to caucus at their Iowa colleges.

“If you are not from Iowa, you can come back for the Iowa caucus and caucus in your college neighborhood,” says a four-page “Students for Barack Obama” brochure provided to Politico.

1. Or lying about legal voting
The Clintons will say anything to win. This is out and out disenfranchisement that is normally left to the Republicans and really a new low for the Clintons. Makes me sick. Slimeballs is the exact right word.

12. It is not wrong at all
It's a bold faced lie that college students can't vote in the state where they're going to school. A lie Republicans have told for years, and tried to pass legislation over. It's outrageous that the Clintons are saying this, and I can't believe Dodd has chosen the Dem machine over the truth.

2. Students aren't "out-of-staters" - they are legal voters.

7. If you live in a state going to school 3/4 of the year, that's a residence.

8. we did that in NH all the time when I was in college
it was condoned by the state. They even had brouchures for students from the Secretary of State's office about how to vote.

If it is legal for the students to vote, then they should be encouraged to vote, but should not also vote at home.

It is shameful for the Clinton campaign to complain about this.

9. Spare me
If the caucus were held on another date, these students would be residents sufficiently to caucus. As long as they're in the state at caucus time they have their rights.

This is just more tiresome

10. Do you have evidence that it is flat out cheating?
Offending Iowans is different than cheating.

keep your opponent's voters out of the voting booth. It reminds me of Operation Eagle Eye.

Edit: Here's an interesting link about Operation Eagle Eye.

16. Of course not. This is just more blustery rhetoric from...the "Obama haters" on this board.
(Haters: Isn't that what we're supposed to call DUers whose comments we believe disparage our preferred candidate?)
