Chris Matthews’ Heartache: Bill Clinton’s War Stance

Poor little Clenis-obsessed Tweety. Bill Clinton rocked his world yesterday by saying that he had always been against the Iraq invasion. Now whether that is true is somewhat debatable, because my own Lexis search didn’t turn up anything that would indicate that, although he certainly has expressed it in the years since. Certainly at the time of the invasion (can you say “freedom fries”?), the wingnuts would have gone crazy had a former president spoken out against the current administration. But that doesn’t matter to Chris Matthews, he can’t believe that Bill Clinton would be rewriting history.

Well, with this flim-flam coming out about Bill Clinton , I just don’t know what to say. I have finally been mastered by Bill Clinton. I finally don’t think I can match him for chutzpah. It’s a good Yiddishism for the ability to say something absolutely ridiculous.

Really, how dare anyone attempt anything as utterly ridiculous as rewriting pre-Iraq invasion history?

If this doesn’t prove Tweety’s right wing tool-osity consider this: Hardball did make a passing reference to Rove’s unbelievably audacious interview with Charlie Rose, but spent five whole minutes over two segments on the betrayal by Bill Clinton, who it must be said, did NOT occupy the White House at the time of the invasion.

1. Life is not fair is it. Here is a fact we have to accept---
you know suck it up.There are many many in the Media who are
going to be harder on Democrats than Republicans. It has been
this way for as long as I can remember. Add to this a basic
dislike for Pres. Clinton. Maybe it is they expect more out of
Democrats.

This is why Democrats have to be very careful. They should not
become cautious. They should call out the Media just as the GOP
does.

I like Pres. Clinton but he does have a habit of trying to be on
too many sides at one time. The Media watches specifically for
this sort of thing. This is what the Media calls the "Clintonian
Slipperiness.". I am not saying this is right . In life sometimes
there are things we cannot change. Give them as few opportunities
Leaders recognize most Americans know you will be one side one time
and with others another. This war issue is just such an explosive
issue--just be careful. Especially when many Americans observed
what went on.

If it is any cosolation. Hardball went after Rove the other night.
"Can you believe this Rove is now trying to say the Democrats rushed
us to war...yes, the Democrats rushed us to war. This not a verbatime
quote but close. He went after Rove pretty hard.

Knowing the Media---they will pick Clinton everytime if given a chance.

2. This sorry excuse for a reporter, Chris the screamer is still
pissed at Bill Clinton for not making him the white house press Secretary after Mike McCurry left and Joe Lockhart took over.

3. and ... tweety himself supported bush, the invasion, the occupation, the so called "war" until just
recently and now he says that he was against the war since forever!

so ... chris matthews can lie, change his opinion, cover his tracks, expell malodorous gas, burp, faint, do whatever he wants to do ... but bill clinton is just going to be crucified by matthews for what he does or what he fails to do.

7. Yep. Believe it. He was the panting, slobbering Mr. "We're ALL neoCONS now!!!"
while watching Little Lord Crotch-stuffer prance around on the deck of the aircraft carrier under the "Mission Accomplished" banner.

5. There's no excuse for Clinton
I don't know why anybody would waste a second defending him. What he said was beyond stupid, beyond chutzpah. Matthews is right. We're supposed to be getting this Rovian crap out of the White House, not using Karl Rove as a moral compass.

6. I watched it and I was disgusted.
That man is a whiny piss ant. Matthews is so jealous of Bill Clinton('s)you know what that he came unglued on that show.

It's horrible to watch a grown man regress.
