Musharraf calls Biden.
Bhutto calls Biden.
Now Olmert calls Biden.

Joe Biden is respected by world leaders.

What a nice change that would be to have a President that world leaders actually believe in.

Associated Press - November 29, 2007 7:05 AM ET

MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) - Democrat Joe Biden was late for a speech to a national student convention last night in Manchester (New Hampshire), but he told the students his tardiness is a good reason they should vote for him.

Biden said he was held up because the prime minister of Israel called him to get his opinion on the Mideast peace conference this week in Maryland. Biden is chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, and touts his foreign relations experience on the campaign trail.

The Delaware senator spent most of his time at the conference talking about Iraq. He argued that until the war ends, there will be no money to fix any of America's problems and the country will remain isolated from the rest of the world.

1. Smart move by Olmert. He'd have a thoughtful, adult conversation on the
topic with Biden.

With Dubya, not so much.

Now if the American public were only as smart as the foreign leaders who call Biden maybe we could stop this Hillary nonsense and get a serious candidate for out party.

12. No doubt. I want a President who can undo all the damage Bush has done to our reputation.
Biden would be able to.

8. The point is that world leaders trust Biden and call *him* rather than anyone in this administration
or any other candidate for that matter.....

9. KoKo, pour yourself some coffee.
The question at hand is the irony of international figures phoning the Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee instead of Condi Rice at State or Dubya.

You see? It's a broad, gigantic dismissal of Bush.

It's a case of an international figure acknowledging where the braintrust in U.S. foreign policy actually lies, and it ain't in the Bush administration.

15. There's no doubt we are in big trouble...that there's no "proper" chain of command..
but one wonders even at that...who it is that is an alie that can be bypassed with the "Official Govt" isn't responsive.

But...point taken...need that cuppa! :D
