Weekly Standard's William Kristol on why some Republicans like Obama
Speaking on Bill Bennett's morning show, Kristol said he could see a Republican like Guiliani or McCain or Romney offering cabinet posts to people like Joe Lieberman and that Obama is attractive to some Republicans because he is the only Democrat who would be open to putting Republicans in his cabinet.

6. Not to the blinded loyal and faithful..
Obama has skated free of criticism after dissing the GLTB Community

The Baby Boomers. Using PAC money donations to Congressional members to enhance his support in Primary states.

Obama is a fraudulent, unsuitable choice for the presidency.

5. several Dem presidents have done this... but what is the difference in 2008?
The GOP has poisoned the political process. They don't want to be our friends. The don't want to compromise.

8. This isn't a big issue as long as the President governs like a Democrat
same would hold true for Hilly. Cohen was retired when Bill took him; that's a good model. Someone who's too advanced in his career to give a shit about the partisanship.

12. Not all
I wouldn't be opposed to seeing a place in a Democratic cabinet or elsewhere for someone like Lincoln Chafee.

4. "People like Joe Lieberman"? Joe is one of them--of course they'd
use him in an R administration. They already do.

10. Bill Kristol always has an agenda.
His agenda is getting another republican in the white house....hopefully another puppet like Bush.

Bill Kristol knows, like every southerner knows, that racism runs rampant. It's the dirtly little secret in the middle-class tree lined neighborhoods, among the so-called good Christians. Obama could promise to send every illegal back to mexico his first day in office, reverse Roe v Wade the second day and they wouldn't vote for him. If Obama gets the nom then I hope every black person of voting age votes. If he wins he better get extra secret service. I don't like it...I wish it were different...but that's the way it is.

14. That's a strange assertion.
I see the candidates equally willing to put republicans in their cabinet. I think they would each put in 1-2.

15. I don't have a problem with a Republican on the cabinet
depending on the Republican and depending on the post. Am I in the minority here?
