New Hampshire CNN/WMUR poll sneak peek: Hillary losing ground in NH
Edited on Tue Nov-20-07 03:22 PM by antiimperialist
From the Marc Ambinder's blog in "The Atlantic" magazine we learn that the latest CNN/WMUR, to be released later today, will show that:

Hillary Clinton's lead in New Hampshire has shrunk from 23% now to 14% in September.

HRC: 36% (was 43)
Obama: 22% (was 20)
Edwards 13% (was 12)
Richardson 12% (was 6)

This comment wasn't on the link above, but it's true.

3. which means those losing to her are still... losing to her.
But I'm sure it will be a consolation to you if Clinton wins by 14% and not 23%

5. 1-) nobody said they aren't losing to her2-) the elections are not today
Edited on Tue Nov-20-07 03:21 PM by antiimperialist
You want to freeze time and have the elections take place today, but unfortunately, there are several weeks left and the trend does not favor Hillary.

8. 1. The poll you cited shows they're losing to her. 2. duh!
no, just bringing something to your attention. Poll numbers tightening is no reason to gloat. The two "progressive"* candidates of choice are going nowhere in this poll. The only bad news here is for Obama and Edwards. If this trend continues, Hillary will still be in the lead and Richardson will be second.

14. losing ground is bad news
I think you are upset because your favorite candidate is losing ground.
The title makes it clear that the point of the thread is to point out that Hillary is losing ground, not that she's not leading.

21. The problem is...Obama gained much
A lead shrank from 23% to 14%. That's much.

18. Boy, I love how the Clinton supporters have been beating us up with polls for months...
until their candidate starts to slip in the very same sorts of polls with the very same sorts of poll takers.

6. The lead has shrunk from 23% in September to 14% in November
And this is a sneak peek, meaning the pollster received this information before the poll is released tonight.

7. That's even a CNN poll!
Imagine one where Vinod Gupta and InfoUSA doesn't have his hands on the controls.

12. Are Marist and Rasmussen rigged too?
Wow. That's what I call a girl with connections.
Hillary instructed Scott Rasmussen to rig his latest poll so as to show Hillary losing 6% in two weeks, and 13% since September, if you want a time-frame comparable to the two latest CNN polls.

Hil also brain-washed Marist into abandon its ethics and post a "rigged" poll showing Hillary's lead shrinking 10% in one month.

11. What's the deal with Richardson doubling his support?
I don't mean to offend anyone but I honestly cannot see the appeal. Perhaps someone here can enlighten me.

15. The Sept poll had Hillary at 41, not 43 (link). This "drop" is within MOE.
Edited on Tue Nov-20-07 03:46 PM by Skip Intro
If the new poll has the same MOE as the Sept. poll.

We still don't know what dates the poll was taken over, as well as other info about methodology. Hillary took a hit after the debate hosted by Russert, and is generally considered to have bounced back since then. When this poll was conducted could shed a lot of light on its validity today.

19. Polling summary
pre-Philly debate, Iowa was essentially a tie, it's been considered a three-way race for months and still is, despite weeks of sustained attack on Hillary. In New Hampshire Hillary's lead has been reduced an average of 5-6 points - she had been leading by around 20+, now she's around 15. A clear reflection of the negative coverage she's gotten. So basically, three weeks out from her toughest moment on the campaign trail the dynamics of the race are unchanged.
