Obama did not yell at anybody
As someone who is not, ahem, particularly an Obama partisan, it is pretty clear to me that this "Obama yelled at an old lady" crap is just that: crap.

Here's the unedited version of his answer:

http://cameron.blogs.foxnews.com/2007/11/19/obama-takes-the-tough-questions/

(sorry for the fox link).

He was responding, quite rightly, in a very spirited fashion to an idiot in the audience who was spewing rightwing Bushisms about the war.

Why certain people in the media felt the need to edit this video and try to make it an anti Obama scandal is beyond me.

It's totally bogus. He responded exactly as he should have.

1. It's obvious the clip was edited to leave out the entire exchange.

3. He was talking in a large hall
and if you watch the video, took pains to express why he felt strongly about the subject. I don't like the guy, but this story is bogus.

7. What's funny is the ones pushing it...
...were probably complaining about Obama falling for Novak's article.

8. not necessarily
I still think he was wrong to lend credence to a rightwing smearmonger who published a third hand account. I don't think that's very smart politics.

10. The idea that both camps bought into was to smear first, verify later.
Many in the Obama camp believed the spin from Novak against Hillary. Many in the Hillary camp today bought into the Obama yelling thing for the exact same reason. The truth isn't whats important, just getting the negative out there fast enough.

13. Well that's true
both sides are eager to jump on a bandwagon without first checking to see if it has wheels. (how's that for not mixing metaphors) ;-)

9. Look at this bogus claim:
"She wondered how Obama would catch the jihadist Muslims if we pull troops out of Iraq and argued that Muslim factions collaborate with each other - so there are bad guys in Iraq who were likely involved in the destruction of the twin towers."

Sorry old lady, the "bad guy" is in Pakistan, and Bush "isn't concerned" about him.

Glad Obama set her straight. He did not "yell" he's showing that he's concerned and passionate about this issue. BRAVO TO OBAMA! I think he shined!

:toast:

...she applauded him at the event’s conclusion and said he did “a good job.”

Even the supposed "victim" said he did "a good job" in responding.

14. Credit where it's due: Here's yours
Kudos to you for seeing this story for what it is, which is to say, nothing at all.

Now would you please, please, PLEASE talk to some of your fellow Clinton supporters here? They are turning this whole forum into an ugly food fight unworthy of the meanest elementary school lunchrooms, let alone a forum of adults discussing Democratic politics. Hillary supporters aren't alone in this of course, but let's deal with each offense as it comes.

15. And on top of that, the Republican questioner didn't have any problems with his response
"After the session concluded, Ms. Svoboda said she found Mr. Obama to be “a very smart man.” But, she added, she is leaning toward supporting a Republican, particularly because of her concern over illegal immigration."

20. Do you ever give it a rest?
I am a Hillary supporter and I resent your constant personal attacks on an entire class of DU posters.

Any poster who constantly attacks any other candidate's supporters with the vile crap that you post should be removed. You never argue a point or fact you just insult.

It is just as personal to insult and degrade a class/group of people as it is to do it to a single person, actually worse. I don't attack, insult and demean Obama supporters (or any others) because that is not the point of this forum.
